Two things I wanna ask -
1. If my application is still being processed and I defer my admission, do I need to let the visa office know??
I had to defer to April 2018 because the visa took longer than I anticipated, however, my application still says January 2018 and it hasn't been approved yet.
2. My school is in Vancouver. However, the flight price there is about 2000CAD on average. Instead, I'd like to buy a ticket to Calgary for 850CAD and then a second ticket to Vancouver from Calgary for 150CAD which, together, is half the price of the direct flight to Vancouver.
Can I do this?? Keeping in mind that its my first time in Canada and I'm going as an international student. I know I have to get a ''study permit'' at the airport with something called a Port-Of-Entry Letter (not sure what that is).
Im not sure what I should do. If I get the two separate tickets, I'll have to pick up my own luggage from the Calgary airport and THEN check it into the flight to Vancouver. Will I be able to do this without an official study permit?? Omg. I don't know what to do. Help please!
