Hi,
How much early can a student enter Canada for his studies considering the only reason he has is to get a place of living and all other stuff.

Re: deferral confusion

Hi Ghufran,

"Your certificate remains valid for obtaining your Study Permit should your registration be postponed from the fall term to the following winter term. However, if you postpone your registration from the winter term to a later term or the following year, you must obtain new certificate regardless of the expiry date of your current certificate"

This is something written in my CAQ, i think if u defer for next term you dont need new one, please check with concordia as well they will give you a clear picture on it .

I would not advise more than 1 calendar month. Otherwise the IO at the airport might refuse you entry and ask you to come closer to the date your studies start. This has happened to people before. Another factor is that the province of Quebec plays by it own rules, so this advice may not apply there
