PNP - Sao Paulo VO (Brazil)

Hello,

I know that not many Brazilians apply under PNP category, but I would like to compare timelines with other people sending their PNP to Sao Paulo VO.

My file was received in Sao Paulo in November 25, 2011 and I am still waiting my AOR.

Is there somebody else in the same situation?

I applied from Sao Paulo but I had to send for CIC in Sydney,NS as was after Dec 1st.
I am nominated from SINP( Saskatchewan)

I have a British Columbia PNP nomination and I was really lucky that my file reached Sao Paulo only five days before the change of rules.

I am still waiting for my AOR; I am a little disappointed with how long is taking to receive it…I thought that the whole point of Provincial Nominee is to have a fast process. But now I think that will be at least one more month until I hear anything from Sao Paulo. Hopefully thing will pick up after Carnival, as everything in Brazil…

No news yet...I’ve found in this forum someone that applied as skilled worker last year in Sao Paulo, and it took him 04 months to receive AOR. I am guessing that I will hear from Sao Paulo in a month or so...

I am living in British Columbia already, so no Carnaval at all in here.

Any news from Nova Scotia?

How did you put the timeline of your process in your profile here at the forum? I cannot do it...

Nova Scotia sent me the emal- AOR and got the fees from my bank. And now my process is on Sao paulo office.
How is BC doing for you.I am going to Regina,SK.

Go to the PROFILE on the top of page, click on.

Than on the left side has a topic called Modify Profile, click on Forum Profile Information,
and change all.

I will keep you posted.I wish the best and fast process for you too.

I am glad that the CIC Nova Scotia approved your process so fast! I have no news from Sao Paulo yet.

I really searched for other Brazilians PNPs all over the web, and I could not find anyone. Maybe we are not that many...did you notice that Sao Paulo didn’t even updated his PNP processing times on the CIC website? It says 17 months, like the last quarter, while for skilled worker it says 14 months. It doesn’t make any sense to take more time for PNP.

I really enjoy BC, it has a great weather (compared with the rest of Canada) and it is so beautiful...I am here with my husband. Where do you live in the US?

I am still waiting my AOR from Sao Paulo, but my bank informed me that my check was cashed on February 28th. Hopefully this means that my application is complete and will not be returned.

Can you see your process stage thru e-cas? What does it says? I still cannot see mine...I guess it will only be visible after I receive the AOR.

Please keep me posted of your progress, I am cheering for you!

Still the same. The people from other forums( Quebec) is making me scare.17 months and nothing?
Do you think PNP is different .Hope so.I need to get out here and go to Canada.

I don’t think you can compare timelines between PNP and any other category; they are all different. All I know is that PNP is supposed to be a fast-track option, so it should be faster than skilled workers (including Quebec).

The same principle works for visa offices in different countries: they all work on a different pace; you cannot compare. That is why I am so disappointed in not finding more people applying for PNP in Sao Paulo. Certainly we are not the only 2! Where are these people? Why they cannot share their timeline with us?

In January, I emailed Sao Paulo to confirm that my file was there, and they said that I would receive my AOR within six months of my application (= May 25, 2012). I have emailed then again yesterday to make sure they didn’t send to a wrong email address or something, since they cashed my fees a month ago.

All we can do now is wait...

I spoke with the consul yesterday, she said we can wait from 6 months to 1 year. So she said I can apply for work permit.Did you apply from VAC for the work permit? What do I need to send? I want to move soon...She gave me hope of not waiting moth and a half but I think we will be a long time waiting.And she said our line is small, in comparison with Quebec.

Six months to one year is really good news! I also have good news: I received my AOR! It took four months and five days after Sao Paulo received my file.

They also requested me to send an original form IMM5409 (statutory declaration of common-law union) – I have sent a copy with my application (I’ve sent the original to the first phase here in BC). I guess that this request will delay my application a little bit…but I’ve sent the new form by FedEx, and it must be there by Wednesday.

I applied to an open work permit when I arrived here. My husband (well, technically my common-law partner) had a student permit for a post-secondary program. So I was entitled to an open permit not linked to any employer.

In your case, since you have a job offer, your employer must first ask for a LMO (Labor Market Opinion). The documentation to get a LMO must be quite similar to the one you sent to get the PNP nomination. You can find all information you need here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/index.asp

Very happy for you AOR from the VO-Sao Paulo , people from Quebec wait for 14 months to get this.
That means your process will be very fast .Maybe 6 months....Cool!!!!!!
I am sending my package for the work permit today. SINP sent a letter to use instead of LMO.
Hope will be fine.

Oh yes, I forgot about the PNP letter instead of the LMO! That is great news...you should have your work permit really soon!

I am still waiting confirmation from Sao Paulo attesting that they received my new form. But now they are closed until Tuesday...
