Dear Sir/Mam,

I want to know one thing. Is this mandatory if my friend is going canada through PNP process. She already get Quebec selection certificate. So before CIC file process we both have to get married to get PR (or) after CIC approval we can also get marry.

Second Thing : If i want to go with her as a spouse so marriage should be old 1year (or) instant i can go with her as per court marriage.

Third Thing : Is there any website to complaint regarding my consultant. Because he trying to create misunderstanding with me & my friend. He told to my friend if you will lodge my complaint then he will reject our file. Please help me out. Is there any solution to safe my friend PNP process.

I hope you will help me ASAP.

Regards
Robin

Robin, your inbox is full... this is in reply to your last message to me.

I am so sorry but I have no idea on the time it will take for CIC to complete the application.. I would suggest putting that question in the forum (in the skilled worker section) to see if anyone can help.

As far as the finances go, from what I read (and again, I do not have personal knowledge of this so you should perhaps ask this in the forum too) you would need around $5000 minimum for 2 people:

They have the amounts on their website: http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/immigrate-settle/permanent-workers/official-immigration-application/requirements-programs/glossary.html#financial however, I would suggest at least twice this amount to be on the safe side, plus additional funds for housing etc.

Financial self-sufficiency

For the period from January 1 to December 31, 2010, single persons must have at least $2,748 at their disposal to meet their basic needs for the first three months following their arrival in Québec. In addition to this sum, they must have at their disposal an additional amount for each family member accompanying them (spouse or de facto spouse and children). For example, a household with two adults and two children under 18 years of age must have at least $4,872 at their disposal for the first three months. The following table indicates the essential needs of main family units.

Basic needs of main family units for the three-month period after arrival in Québec

No children One adult $2,748 Two adults $4,030

I believe CIC is processing Skilled worker applications between 6-16 months (but it would depend on the country you are coming from).

You can check here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/quebec/apply-after.asp
You can check the status of your application online: https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/?app=ecas&lang=en put in your file number (B*****) or the receipt number, your name (of the primary applicant normally) and your country. You could also contact the Quebec office to see what they can advise as to the time.

What consultant did you use? You should check that they are licenced and approved by the government of Canada.

Take care and I hope you get things sorted out ok.

Have a good Christmas!

Regards,

Siouxie

One thing: If you get married now, you have to tell Quebec immigration so you can get a QSC too and then you can both apply for PR together. If you want to get married later, wait until your friend lands as a PR, then she can apply to sponsor you for PR. One thing to be careful of, if you get married before she lands as a PR, she must add you to her application before she lands. If she lands on a PR visa she got as a single person but she is already married and hasn't added you to her application, this is seen as misrepresentation. It means that she can not sponsor you in the future and could mean she loses her own PR.

Second thing: The marriage does not have to be 1 year old.

Third thing: If you don't want this consultant as your representative, send a signed letter to Quebec immigration and Canada immigration that you do not want this person to represent you any longer. If you decide to let him complete the application, complain about him later when you are already PR.

Hi All,

It is rather unfortunate to inform you that if you have submitted your application to Quebec and you have not yet been called for an interview nor have got the final decision yet, your application will be processed according to the new rules in effect since August 1st, 2013, no matter when you submitted your application.

Please check this FAQ, specifically answer No. 1
http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/informations/questions-answers.html#august

Also, please help us to send a complaint to the Minister of Immigration by using the link below, you can send the complaint in either English or French,

http://www.micc.gouv.qc.ca/fr/ministere/ecrire.html

Many thanks guys!
