Hey all from ADVO any idea if they notify the applicants everytime a file is transferred to them or they just directly send the MR.
usually they are not sending and will update on your eCase once put your case in process.

Where they will update? I mean shall I keep checking in the ecas where usually CIC updates or is there some different system for the local visa office.

One more question that I am curious about is that your timeline shows a long waiting period between file transfer and medical request. Is this usual for ADVO or it just happens sometimes.

I haven't applied under Express Entry Stream. Its the same PNP system , still hoping it doesn't take too long as many other applicants under same system but different visa offices have got the PR already in a period of 4-5 months after sending the application to CIC.
Keeping the fingers crossed :)

Hi
I will be land on the first of November
What are the required documents which I must bring with me at the airport
I am under pnp program
In your case there is a gap of almost 6 to 7 months between medicals done and passport request. Any idea what was the reason for this long wait whereas in many other cases on this forum people have to wait only few weeks for passports request after completing medicals.
Did you live in more than 2 or 3 countries and this was the cause for the delay between medicals and passport request.
I am also in a similar situation with medicals done in May 2015 and waiting until now for passport request. I have lived in 3 countries so I provided police reports for three countries and I am suspecting that background checks are causing this long delay.

How long ago did ADVO receive your PCC?
Did you make gcms note request or case specific enquiry?

PCC was requested after two weeks of Medical request, ADVO received my PCC during May 2015.
I made case specific inquiry twice, first they told me that they are doing background checks, second time which was a month ago, they told me that the file is in active processing queue and files are processed on a first-come-first-served basis.

I do not know about gcms note request, how can I request for these?

GCMS I think are offered in some websites for 10 USD or so.

Anyway, ADVO average processing is 19 months. Have you passed 19 months (since you submitted to Abu Dhabi) ? Did they reply to case specific enquiry even if 19 mknths is not passed? How long do they reply in case specific enquiry?

Also, I think there is a specific date each month that they look in to files that are "in process". You will know which date by checking which date you normally get emails frok ADVO (e.g medical request, pcc request)

I have not passed average processing time of 19 months but still ADVO reply to case specific inquiries, at least for first couple of times but not after that.
The gap between medical request and PCC request was two weeks.

How many days/weeks does ADVO reply everytime you make case specific enquiry?

Is there any thing else pending from your side (i.e. have you submitted all PCCs) and all you're waiting for is just the PPR (passport request)?

If yes, consider sending an email addressed to minister and copy the abu dhabi email address. This way your file might be prioritized. It is unfair that Express Entries are getting visas within 6 months while paper-based applicants go through years and years. Emailing the minister usually makes CIC office panic (they do not want their office to have bad image).

I remember one user doing it and got PPR few days after.

For details on how to email the minister (and format), you may follow the link canadavisa .com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/letters-to-the-new-citizenship-and-immigration-minister-t372036.0.html

Again, this is only for paper-based applicants waiting for PPR (almost finish line), not for those waiting medicals or has not received additional request yet.

Update us what happens.
