Dear Friends,

Today I received my passport through aramex at 6:15pm. Thanks to Allah Almighty that my 7 years n 8 months wait got over.planning to travel coming Monday.

Thank you each of you for your support n encouragement.

Have an issue in my landing paper which came with passport. My marital status is mentioned Single there. Where in my wife landing paper showing married. What should i do? Which email address I should write them(if I hv to tell them)? Please suggest.

For sure that little issue of yours will be resolve. Suggest to make a quick correspondence with ADVO and they can probably rectify your details and issue you a new one. Good Luck!

I was going through your timeline and it seems that your MR took 7 months for ADVO. If we are DEC 2013 AOR, will it mean that we will have our MR probably by July 2014 only. Really take much time these days for ADVO processing. We are just hopeful enough to wait. Good luck to you and hope you will have your PPR soon.

Yes, it took 7 months before we received our MR. It was such a long wait. Patience is really a virtue. However, it is still a case to case basis but from what I've seen in this forum, it usually takes 180 days (+/- 10 days) from the AOR-CIO till the MR.

No news yet. You will probably get the PPR before me because you are 3 weeks ahead of me so you will be my gauge. The moment you get yours, mine will follow...

In our case, we have requested in our application for Manila to be our visa office but they still sent it to ADVO because we are currently residing in UAE. So most likely your application was also forwarded by CIC to ADVO because you are also in the UAE which means you will get your MR approximately 180 days from CIC-AOR receipt.

At last waiting is over!!!
Visa validity til 05 December 2014 as per email received.

May I just clarify, did your ecas only changed to 'medical results have been received' after your medical furtherance has been cleared? What did it say on your ecas before you were requested for a medical furtherance?

Also, what does it say on your ecas after receiving your PPR?

As per ECAS,Application received on May 28, 2013, Turned to In Process same day when I receive my medical request on November 18, 2013. Medical results have been received only after I was cleared from my medical furtherance on 13 Feb.2014. Up to now still "In Process"
ADVO has quoted on their email "ATTENTION! YOUR VISA IS VALID TIL 05 DECEMBER 2014"
