Hi everyone!

I need some insights please. I already received my AOR from CIO and Abu Dhabi is my visa office. What is the next step that I should wait for? Is it an AOR from ADVO or the MR? How long does it usually take?

Thank you so much in advance for whoever is going to reply :)

hi mosby,

you've posted that u requested Manila as ur VO, usually even if u requested VO they will sent the application in the VO of ur current residence.

Your AOR from CIO is July most probably u will reciv ur MR by December (earlier the better). My cousin reciv her AOR by March then she reciv MR by August 27.. She took her Medical by September 6 then PPR Oct 22..

be patient dont worry u will reciv MR soon.. goodluck & god bless

Thanks for the reply Kidlat, really appreciate it.

Yes I have requested Manila in my application. But as you said they chose Abu Dhabi as my Visa office because this is where I live now.

May I ask, is your cousin living in UAE as well? Is Abu Dhabi her visa office too? I would just like to know so I can compare our timelines in the future.

1 more question, after AOR from CIO, the next step is MR, right? So I don't need to wait for the AOR from ADVO anymore?

Thanks very much.

Hello Mosby,

Yes ADVO will not send you AOR. Usually they opt either to directly send you MR or in some cases they ask for additional documents before sending MR. additional documents could include Police Clearance(PC), Your current employment letter etc. As per my observation AOR from CIO and response from ADVO usually have 3 to 4 month gap.

no not yet, I was not asked to submit my passport.. I was only asked to do the medical, and now I am waiting for PPR.

it's been almost 4 months.

Hi guys hope u r all doing well
I am egyptian but currently resident in ksa
From my reading i found that i can apply to egypt vo or abu dhabi
My question do u think abo dhabi takes long time as it shows in processing times on cic.gc.com
Which says 24 months

I am afraid egypt office has many holds due to political distress

Please help and advise from your experiences currently what is the processing time in abo dhabi?!

Thanks to you

Actually the CIC will be on leave starting 19 dec until after new year, so if we don't get anything within 3-4 weeks, we should wait until January and that's more logic :'(

But its weird that some people got the PPR within a month after medical request and some within 3 months..

Some times I get worried because of this delay :-[
