i think there's no problem if medical request came still you can do it in uae..there is a list of accredited clinics where u can go..you can decide to go homr if evrything is ok.. or passport request came it means you will have the visa.

with regards to nbi, u will go first to phil consulate to get the form complete it..then you need to go to police station to have ur fingerprints..(if ur in dubai u can do it in dubai police in quiadah) you can get back the form after 1-2 days then u need to go back again to phil consulate for the signature and payment.
then the form u need to send it to phils.. u can ask any member of ur family to bring it to nbi head office in manila together with a letter authorizing them to get it.

Hi Kidlat,

I appreciate al your help. I shall then process my payment online and proceed with the application for police clearance and NBI from the Philippines. I'll indicate Manila as my visa office and see where it will take me.

I understand that some of my questions have been asked in this forum earlier but you were so graceful in answering them anyway. For that i am really grateful.

`best regards,
pau

Immigration applications

Alert – Strike Action

The Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers (PAFSO) union is currently taking strike action. PAFSO union members responsible for processing visa applications have been walking out of offices in Canada and overseas.

Posted processing times for both temporary and permanent resident visa applications do not take into account work stoppages.

Anyone applying for a visa should anticipate delays and submit their application as far in advance as possible.

Contingency plans are already in place to ensure all offices remain open and are providing at least a minimum level of service. Priority will be placed on urgent humanitarian applications.

CIC continues to closely monitor the situation.

To those who got ppr - can you guys tell me please, if cic asked you to provide evidence that you sponsor is still living in the same province?

Just wanted to update my status:
Filed status changed to "in process" = 18 June 2013
Medical Request via email = June 28th 2013

By the way any estimate on how long it takes for the passport to come back after visa stamping.

Syed

I really don't know myself. it all depends upon applicant's profile, country and place of origin. If have lived or got your education in west, your case will move faster otherwise security clearance and background checks take plenty of time. I am, as you know; among the ones whose applications is there now for almost 20 months under process and still no signs of MR.

hi everyone,

just want to share! i thought ADVO was working very slow coz its very rare to hear updates from the applicants. im very happy and thankful to ADVO coz i requested for file transfer to manila last may 16. june 24 i received a reply for me to confirm with my request. the same day i confirmed that i want my application to be processed in manila. july 4 i received a reply again that my file is already on process for transfer to manila. i just need to wait at least 6 weeks for file transfer to be completed. looking forward to receive acknowledgement from manila visa office and medical request.

god bless us all. goodluck to everyone
