Hi Achieco,

Any update after you have submitted the additional docs requested? They have requested me to complete one form regarding some passport details and travel history. Do they normally open the file after 4 months? Do you have any idea?

thanks :)

CIC CHANGES PERMANENT RESIDENT APPLICATION PROCESS

Citizenship and Immigration Canada has changed how it processes permanent resident visa applications submitted by provincial nominees.

Effective Dec. 1, all provincial nominees must submit their permanent resident applications to CIC's new centralized intake unit in Sydney, N.S.

CIC will continue to accept applications at visa offices until March 31.

However, Manitoba nominees are strongly encouraged to submit their permanent resident visa applications to CIC's new centralized intake office.

Manitoba Immigration has updated the approval package we send to provincial nominees to reflect the changes to CIC's processes.

Other changes CIC has made to the permanent resident visa application process include:

a unified document checklist for all provincial nominees, regardless of their country of residence. This checklist is online at CIC.
Provincial nominees must include their processing fee at the time they send their application to the centralized intake office.
CIC has introduced additional payment options for provincial nominee applicants, including credit card payment. For more information on processing fee payment options visit CIC.

Details on CIC's processing procedures of permanent resident applications submitted by provincial nominees are explained on its website at: cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/provincial/apply-application.asp.

Best regards,

I again received another mail from CIC Abu dhabi that IMM 0008depenu not required for us. Previously they requested for this form but now no longer required; hence they didn't confirm whether the forms that I sent were received. Instead email is asking to send IMM5549 wherein this form was already couriered to them along with IMM0008depenu.

I replied back to their email mentioning the above...

Hope and pray that everything is fine. :)

Provincial nominees: How to apply—Application kit

To apply under the Provincial Nominee Program, applicants must be nominated by a Canadian province or territory.

Important:

1) As of December 1, 2011, if you are applying under the Provincial Nominee Program, you must submit your application to the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) in Sydney, Nova Scotia. Once you have gathered all required forms and documents listed in the Document Checklist, send your application to:

Citizenship and Immigration
Provincial Nominee Program
Centralized Intake Office
PO Box 1450
Sydney, Nova Scotia
B1P 6K5
Canada

If the CIO determines that your application is complete, it will be sent to the appropriate CIC processing office for processing. The processing office will contact you for further documentation once they are ready to process your application.

If your application does not include all of the documents and forms set out in the checklist, CIC will return it to you. Do not provide documents which are not listed in the checklist.

Note: Applications that were sent prior to December 1, 2011 and that are received on or after this date at the visa office will be processed by the office as long they are complete.

2) As of July 18, 2011, applicants for Permanent Residence are asked to complete the new Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008). Applicants are encouraged to complete the form electronically and validate the information to generate 2D barcodes before printing. To ensure you have the most recent application form, please use the link to the application form below.

hi sset12,

i'm in saudi arabia.... Prasie God, FINALLY I RECEIVED MY LOA TODAY!! exactly after six months...

I sent an email to MPNP inquiring about the new system since they have instructed me to send all documents required to Abu Dhabi office... I wrote that based on their website it was stated that effective December 01, 2011 all applications must be submitted to Sydney, NS.... so I will just wait for their response before sending documents to Abu dhabi... Regards top everyon.

hello adg256,

thank you for the reply...we have the same concern, my LOA was granted on Oct 14th, and it stated there that I must submit it to CIC-AbuDhabi that's why I am also confused if I need to submit the complete PR application as per the new system or still on the old system.

Please kindly share to me their feedback as soon as you have it, all my documents are now ready. Goodluck to all of us :)

Hi Tess,

IMOO, I will follow what is written in my LOA, if you'll read it again it stated that you are given 6mos to submit it to the desginated Office
Unless, it is stated that "in case there is changes in the instruction in the CIC, you will follow the new advisory ...." :)

.. :-)

hi 501win,

thank you for your advice, I sincerely apreciate it...that is really what i am thinking to do...it's really confusing but I am hoping that God will guide me on this...all my documents as per checklist from VO-AD is complete/done and ready for dispatch... I am just waiting for some feedback from other forum mates...

hi 501win,
Another concern is, if I will submit the application to CIC-AbuDhabi, should I use the new unified checklist or the old checklist from VO-AbuDhabi (I prefer this one coz it is much easier)... I hope I can get more info from all of you!
