Thank you all for your feedback. I read in some of the threads that in some visa offices like Manila and Singapore, it seems that MR comes before In Process so it was alarming. So it is re-assuring to know that in Abu Dhabi it is the other way around. Yay, I can sleep with less worry tonight:-)

For those who have been requested to submit additional docs, what are the usual ones other than updated police clearance?
Dubai people, where did you have your medical?
Any tips - exams undertaken, preparation (if you were to do it again, what you would have done differently), which doctor/clinic is best to go, etc.

Looking forward to hearing good news from everyone soon.....

Thanks for the tip, now I'm leaning towards Al Zahra although I was also considering Health Bay as it is closer to my place.
Good luck on your PPR....lapit na yan!

Dear,

my case status is In Process from May, 2013 once ADVO asked for update some forms in June, 2013 and after that still there is no update from them rally frustration need your prayers plz ........................

Dear,
Your case has been moving very slow compared to others at ADVO. The only way to get a clue on what is going on with your case is through CAIPS notes. If you haven't applied already for the CAIPS notes, i think you should do so now.

any news of khurram?

lawrence when r u planninng to land?

looks like we ll hit the place june or july in mississuaga

Hi guys ,
I wish you all the best
I want to ask you about something . i am Egyptian resident in KSA , and applied to cic ( got file #)
If i moved to my home country Egypt after few months , I shall notify or send email to ADVO for this change
Could that delay my file process or no effect ?

Thanks and god bless you

I don't think your moving back to Egypt will result in transfer of your file from ADVO to Cairo VO.
According to file transfer policy of CIC, a visa office should not transfer the file to another visa office unless the transfer is warranted for program integrity reasons. Leaving a visa office's territory alone does not warrant a file transfer.
You can see the file transfer policy of CIC in OP 1, sections 5.19 and 5.20 and subsequent amendments.
Even if your file was transferred for any reason, the processing time in Cairo is faster at 11 months compared to 22 months for ADVO :)
I suggest you get a Saudi police clearance certificate before you leave as it is difficult to obtain once you are outside KSA.
And keep your address updated with CIC at all times so that you receive their instructions in a timely manner.

Dear Brother,

Last i am a PNP applicant applied to CIO in May, 2013 from Pak. Before getting my AOR i moved to UAE and then i received the AOR.. i updated the visa office about my move, but yesterday after 10 months my ECAS status changed to "In Process". what should i expect? File Transfer to ADVO? MR? Additional Docs Request?

Hope for the best

Regards,

I think you should be expecting additional documents requests from London VO. I am not sure if your moving from Pak to UAE after receiving the AOR from CIO NS will result in a change in visa office from London to Abu Dhabi. I know another person in similar situation like you whose file is still being handled by London VO.

London VO typically asks for the following additional documents:
-Economic settlement plan
-Bank statement for last 6 months
-Copies of academic qualifications and work experience certificates

We havent heard from khurram in a while. I am sure he would be busy in final preparations for landing.
I am planning my landing someitme in Aug/Sep.

Dear lawrence thx for replay
but my question was , could my leave affect the processing time in ADVO?
i heard ADVO is late and slow , thats why i am afraid in any delay because of my leave
(Note Egypt yes its written 11 mo , but actual i know many people their timeline not too shorter than ADVO )

best wishes
