Now my question is, where is the best place to do the Medicals in Dubai? would appreciate any thoughts on this...

Hi. apart from the "right of permanent residence fee" is there another "fee" called the "landing fee"? how much is the amount and when does it have to be paid? is it the visa office who will request for this? does it have to be paid at the time of passport request or at the time of the actual landing?

I think Al Zahra hospital near clock tower in Sharjah is the best place for medical. What time and day you received MR from ADVO?

Right of permanent residence fee is earlier called landing fee, so these two terms are the same. This can be paid along with your processing fees for PR application to Nova Scotia. But can be paid at later part when the local visa office requested for it.

I mean it is a fuzzy stage, no one can estimate the time needed to complete these checks.

Can I say it takes 6 months to get PPR, some cases took 11 months, some cases took more than one year.

but I noticed that applicant who received there meds early after AOR their visa was late :S

Time is usually from 6 months to 11 months before the medical expires.
For those who got .PR earlier, may b it's their luck i cudnt find any other factor seriously
We too r waiting.our 6 months will b completed in march so m hopeful any time after march n before Sept

quiet interesting debate going on over the issue of PPR here, I like it this page is more lively than other VO (thanks to the elongation of the process) and everyone seems to expertise on data gathering and analyzing it. is there any way one could come to know when the RPRF has been en-cashed?
does the bank provide any data on that? how about the factor of that strike last year? did it have any effect on the time between MR and the PPR?

I think this is very much depends on the risk category of ur country. I am wondering as per policy how much lead time is given for transition.

I am still in Dubai and its been 5 months 17 days. No update from ADVO till date.

as per observation...its 6 months these days...so wait for 13 more days
