Regards,

Elena

Thanks Elena,

My wife and I decided to move there by march 2014 para mas malaki ung calculation nang gratuity namin. Our dilemma now is the flight going from Toronto to Winnipeg. My wife will use her staff tickets from emirates airlines. But the flight from dubai will only be till Toronto. Di sure si Misis if pede kami mag connecting flight from Toronto using other airlines.

My other question is pede ba tyo mag landing sa Toronto then from there Saka kami mag flight to Winnipeg.

Hi, venezio!

That was my situation before but my relative said they can secure booking for us from toronto to winnipeg.

So, if you have relative there, pede k nila help to get local flight to winnipeg in advance.

Also, pede mo ask din help from jujuangel ksi s travel agency rin sya nagwo-work.

Elena

Hi Guys! Congrats to those who got their passports back. ;)

Question: How do you plan to bring your hard-earned savings to Canada?
I'm thinking of 20% cash and 80% demand draft/bank draft of the required amount.

Problem is, I do not know how a demand draft/bank draft works. When we paid the RPRF using bank draft, the draft is drawn to a bank in Canada (Bank of Montreal, Branch of Toronto) and the payee is The Receiver General for Canada. When we requested for the draft in ADCB (my bank here), we did not provide them the address of the bank to where the draft has to be drawn. ADCB already has an address. Maybe because they are now very much aware of the so called Canadian draft, hence bank address is automatically generated. Not sure though...

In our case now, the draft must be drawn to a bank in Winnipeg, Manitoba as that is our final destination. But to which bank? I do not know. Of course, the payee should now be me.

Any accountant/banker there who might be able to help?

Thanks in advance... :)

Hi, phoem!

As what my relative have one, they transferred their money via wire transfer.

The next day when they arrived there, they open an account in winnipeg connected to their bank in phils.

Then, after opening an acct, they contacted their bank in phils to wire transfer their money.

And i think, that is what i m going to do also, we just have to declare it during our cross the border that there is goung to follow amount.

Hello! I created my online account long time ago and I cant remember if I choose the Family or General Stream.

Can u pls tell me how will I know which stream I applied? Or is this something that I will be asked during the interview?

Hi - What is ur relationship with those people in Canada that will sponsor u. If only close friends, you will be under General but if say cousin, uncle, mother, father (close relatives) then u will be under Family Stream.

Hi Foures!

She's my wife's Aunt (younger sister of my mother-in-law) and if it is better to have a second sponsor, we will ask Auntie's hubby.

So the immigration inspector will be the one to classify whether our application will be for Family Stream or the General Stream? Is this correct?
