Hey guys,

I have been following this thread for a while now, specially to try to gauge where my application is at compared to everybody else.

I called in CIC and today and they told me that my Security hasn't been started yet ( I'm a oct 3 2017 receive date)

Criminality and all the other checks have been completed and I just got a request to send an updated copy of my passport (Old one was about to expire).

Do you guys have any idea how long more or less it takes for the security check? I see a bunch of guys from late OCT are already getting DMs.

And how come we had 3 decisions made on a Saturday, February 2nd? And all only for October 25th applications, during a PPR rain?

It gotta be a different office, since all September applicants just started getting ghost updates.

God damn it! Do they process the most recent ghosts showing up with the most recent app date? Does the software orders/filter people that way?

The same thing happened to June-July applicants, people from August started getting DM issued a month in advance!

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking of right now. Mine is Sep 26,2017 app received and called them twice to confirm the completion of background check in January. Every stage is finished except the final DM. Have no idea why it looks like the rest of the September Applicants are ignored or suspended or something.

I'm behind you for a few days (Sept 29). Also got a ghost and called, all done.

I just hope we get the DM before/by the next DM rain, which is on March. If they process the DMs backwards, from October 26th to September 8th, we may not make the cut...
