i called cic today regarding my file. The agent was so nice she said my criminality, eligibility and medical was passed but when i asked about security she said it was in process , it look like we are combining the reports from different agencies but still your background is in process. she is not clear. i checked my online status it shows background check :" we are processing your background check. we will send you message if we need more information". since april 2018. what you all think??

I dont trust the agents words, I called on Thursday of last week and they told me that my Security checks wasnt started yet, and i woke up this morning to the message for passport request. Expect PPR soon.

That's because they don't always have updated notes.
I called last week and agent told me everything is passed only security left.
He said security is probably being processed already, his notes are not just updated.
The reason being, in my opinion, is because security goes through CBSA and CSIS.
I think only the officer taking care of the case is capable of changing the notes.
