Its automatic that once you have DM your work permit will be canceled. No need to stop working. You are all good

hi Folks, I realized that by using this link https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/security.do?lang=en we can see more details about our PNP paper application and my status using this link is "Decision Made" but nothing changed on IRCC portal. It is still in progress. How long time did you folks got an email or call from IRCC after a Decision Made?

Should we not apply at all for extension in such case?
Mine is expiring this Sunday and I was going to apply for extension this week.
We don’t need to worry about expiring work permit because IRCC extended a date for us to renew our workpermits
Public policy extended for temporary residents applying to restore status
Ottawa, December 31, 2020—Effective January 1, 2021, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada is renewing a temporary public policy that provides more time for temporary residents to apply to restore their legal status in Canada.
This public policy, which has been in place since July 2020 but was set to expire, recognizes that many temporary residents in Canada have been affected by worldwide health- and travel-related restrictions, and may need to remain in Canada for longer than they anticipated.
Under the public policy, visitors, students and workers whose valid temporary status expired, or expires, between January 30, 2020, and May 31, 2021, will have until August 31, 2021, to restore their status. In addition, the public policy will continue to allow former work permit holders applying for an employer-specific work permit to work while a decision on their restoration application is pending..

It will be canceled so i would not do it if i had DM on my Ecas
Yes but you still have to apply for extension of work permit before current one expires, otherwise you have to submit restoration application later on . Note that you can’t work on restoration and have to get authorization letter from cic to start working again. There is no harm applying for another word permit. Doesn’t matter you ecas says decision made .
If you got COPR then no need to apply for extension but if it just says decision made, then you have to apply for extension
No I didn’t receive COPR, just to be safe I will apply for extension and see what’s gonna happen also will share details after.

Did they told you reason for canceling your work permit? This is really strange. You can send webform regarding that . Does your online GC key says approved?
They only said" your application was canceled, you will get an update message." but I haven't received anything. I have sent a web form today regarding my work permit application and PR. GC key says processing for PR and canceled for a work permit. I got my money refund
