Hello all,

MR received Oct 29.

However, I submitted my upfront medical on Oct 18th. I received an email on Oct 23rd saying my upfront medical tracking sheet was received.

So what should I do now, should I just wait for an update? Has anyone had the same issue, please let me know. What should I do with this MR.

Many thanks.

Hi, thanks for your quick reply!

Could you explain to me what you did? So just resubmit a webform with the medical tracking sheet that I have and explain to them I received an MR? And just ignore the MR (IMM1017) that they sent me?

Hello everyone,
I have a question.
I am applying through the paper base and EE at the same time. I already did my medical for EE but just received medical request from the paper based one. Can I just use my EE medical to apply for the paper based one? will they reject one my mine if they find out that i am also applying through anther stream?

Thanks

I'm in a similar boat I think, except my employer terminated my department because of COVID. But I'm on a closed work permit so it's been harder finding an employer willing to do the paperwork + compliance fee so I can get another closed work permit with them.

But my understanding is:
  • My (BC) PNP nomination is with this employer as well as my NOC
  • I would need to find a new employer with the same NOC in order to continue my BC PNP application.
  • When I find a willing employer, I'll notify BC PNP (but not sure what the process is afterwards - if I'll get an updated nomination and/or work permit support letter or ??)
  • I'll have to apply to IRCC for new closed work permit with this employer (however, there is a new process where I can start working for this employer before I receive my new closed work permit - https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...esidence/work-permit/changing-employment.html)
  • And my application should continue with this employer
I've also read that IRCC has been asking people about job offers later in the process to "double-check" employment - but not sure if everyone gets asked that as part of background check.

Hope you'll figure out something that works for you!

This is also what i'm trying to understand.
Because if there's the possibility that the process will procede without any other check on the employment, worst case scenario i could:
-continue to work here for a few months.
-leave (let's say) half of the next year
-trying to find a new employer

If i find someone perfect. If i don't i'll simply wait hoping that they'll not check. If they check i'll have to leave Canada but at that point i should anyway so it would be just a last attempt.

Guys,
Is there any outland who did the upfront medical exam and really make the difference regarding the processing time? is there any clue?

Yea I'm not sure about the checking process; it seemed from the few cases shared in this thread that it was happening after Medical, closer to DM/COPR; then hopefully you might have time to find a new employer instead of having to restart the entire PNP nomination / PR application process again.

Did you say you just applied in August 2020? So this facilitative won't help you (the application has to be received prior to March 18, 2020)? https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...ce-delivery/coronavirus/pnp-facilitative.html

I might be going this route and hopefully I can find a willing employer by March next year. (Although it seems the decision to put the application on hold is made by PNPs - I haven't read anything from BC PNP that they are taking up this option and they haven't confirmed it with me either =/ )
