i just spoke to an agent, again i was told the process on your application is complete, background check is done, everything is done. just wait for the decision to be made and officer to email you the next step. i called after 3 weeks and still the same thing. i don't understand how much time does it take to send one email !!! the agent said you are still within the processing time. so dont worry!! 17 months and 25 days today. is canadian immigration even working ?????????????? soooo frustrated !!!! first the AINP took 18 months to come through and now this. i am soooo done !!

I just receive an email from an agent in my city about interview.

Permanent Resident Interview - June 13th


In order to grant you permanent residence, you must provide us with satisfactory original identity documents. All applicants must provide their original valid passports at the landing interview.

You must attend the interview with the following:



Ø All of your dependants in Canada that are included in this application

Ø Proof you have paid the $490 Right of Permanent Residence Fee (This fee is not required for minors or Convention Refugees)

o If you have not yet paid this fee, you may do so on-line at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/index.asp)

Ø Your own interpreter, if required

Ø Your sponsor if you are being landed under the In-Canada Spousal/Family Class

Ø Two (2) photos for each person on this application taken within the last 12 months

Ø All documents issued to you by Citizenship and Immigration Canada

Going to MP won’t help, they can’t make decision or escalate .
They will just ask about status .
I tried MP too, they told me to wait another three months and I am already running on 21 month and it will be 2 years .

yeah- MP Cannot do anything... if the immigration minister himself cannot do anything- does not even bothers about the backlog ! what can a MP do... lets just hope, pray and wait !!!

IRCC is short staffed so
, they hired new student summer staff probably next week,they will start working over our file.

I applied through OINP masters graduate stream. Here is a timeline:
Application received by CIC - February 6, 2017
Acknowledgement on March 23, 2017
Medical instructions on March 2, 2018
Asked for additional document (Resume/CV) on May 22, 2018
Email for Passport Request June 1, 2018

I received PPR email yesterday, however my passport expired on Nov 8 and they said 6 months validity is required. Can I submit my passport like that or I should renew my passport first.

Also mo update on ecas and cic gc
