Hmmm I have no idea why it happens but one of my church members also has a same issue from last Saturday. Nothing is changed but the first page of ecas’ status from in prograss to application received.

Is it the same as landing paper ? Does that mean I need to wait until I get the document from CIC before I can depart Canada ? and also need that for re-entry ?

Yes. It is also known as a landing paper. It seems you are going to receive the letter within few days since your application is approved. Keep tracking your return envelope’s tracking number then you will see when the letter comes. If you have a valid work permit, it would be okay without the lettet for your re-entry. But if I were you, I would like to bring COPR letter with me so I can land when I come back to canada after two weeks of visitation so I can avoid wasting my time to go to the board for landing again. It is up to you.

I have a question that my status is Decision Made already. But when I called, they are saying my background check is still in the process.
Did anyone have same situation??

You are likely to receive PPR email tonight. ECAS status does not precisely match myCIC status.

Well you will need to mail your passport and PPR email along with 2 photos to CIC in Ottawa for PR visa stamping. It will take about 2 weeks stamping and mailing back passport. Your passport will have PR visa stamp and COPR which you will need for landing process.

If you are leaving Canada in 2 weeks, hopefully you will get your passport back by then since you need your passport to travel.

My country is a visa exempt country so I didn't have to send original passport but just a copy.
I already sent a copy of the passport and 2 photos to CIC and got the final approval.
I guess I will just have to wait another 1-2 weeks to get the CoPR if I want to bring that to my country with me (best scenario)

When did you passed medical and when you r background sartrded in process and when it changed to dm thanks

E cas changed from In progress to Application Received.... is this anything related to PPR ? Application received DEc 5 - 2016 to cic

If you are from the country does not need a visa but only eTA, you do not need to send a passport. You only need to send a copy of the page shows your infomation. And two pictures and fill out Annex A and include xpresspost prepaid envelope for your copr letter.

My sister got ppr 10 days after DM showed on Ecas. So all you need to do is waiting in joy! Good luck!
