very informative forum .Please explain what is AOR? and its significance? My husband Applied for BC PNP in Nov 2014 and we are expecting the nomination certificate in January because processing time is 12-14 months .I hope he get that.IA
My second question is After the nomination he is eligible to apply for permanent residence. How much time it will take to get that? what is the processing time for permanent residence visa? last , As he applied BC PNP in 2014 so is he eligible to apply through express entry or through old process as he applied in 2014 for PNP

Hi there
first of all you'll need to find the right forum for your forum because everyone here already has their nominations and have sent in their PR application last novemeber.

But in the meantime ... AOR means acknowledgement of receipt which you will receive at some point after you send in the actual application (this can act as a reference number when you need info from CIC or applied for a BOWP)
Because you applied for BC PNP last year, you are not eligible for EE with that application because EE had not started at that time. If you do want to be considered in the EE stream I believe you have to send in another PNP application (but I think you need to have the ITA for this, and the PNP processing time is a LOT shorter )
The actual PR application processing time varies, I think it's 11months.... but you can check the CIC website for the most up to date time (Again because it will not as sent as EE but the normal PR application)

How that helps

Most all of us are in the 'old' system. My application was received in November of 2014, I'm still here in Nov 2015 waiting for decision made. So I've waited 12 months, and I waited 12 months before that for my provincial level/PNP nomination letter. So I've been in queue for two years.

This gives you an idea of how long it takes even when things work out, it isn't an overnight process. Your best bet if you've already applied is to just wait it out and try and not go crazy in the mean time.

Is there any instruction in your LOA regarding forwarding copy of IELTS to CIO?

Where did you find this words " Citizenship and Immigration Canada does not accept language test result (IELTS) that are more than two years old. Please ensure your include valid test results in your application for permanent residence"

VALID IELTS is required for PNP nominee with NOC C & D only. What i did just included the copy of IELTS (expired) while sending application package to CIO. However, please go through CIC website to be more sure.

Regards,

Hi invisible80, please, what did you do?

I received my LOA a few minutes ago with same instructions as you, however I'm under NOC A, my IELTS was expired and I'm confused too, I dunno if I need retake an IELTS or if I send my expired one.

Thanks in advance for anyone that can help me.

I am an applicant from the USA, therefore I submitted to Sydney like everyone, then they forwarded to Ottawa's central processing group. So my case is processed entirely from within Canada.

I began original provincial level processing in 2013, so I'm obviously becoming a bit impatient and would like to see it finish out.

Nov 20 applicant, IP with two lines only. we received your application and we started processing you application.

This is getting very uncomfortable now. I dont know how long they are going to take to send PPR.

I have ordfered GCMS notes and am expecting them Nov 15th.
On my last notes, it seemed that nothing was done (no security, no other stuff). File is still waiting to be reviewed by the officer for correction of my daughter's name in the application.

Dont know what to do.

I applied for my BOWP as my PGWP expires Dec 14. I made a mistake and did not apply for extension of my spuose' WP along with my application. And now i have to wait for my BOWP to arrive so that I can attach it as reference. I hope I receive mine in time.

I know that this waiting is very frustrating for all of us but I hope that they will start to work on our applications faster. This morning I was unable to check my application online as every day ( :'( ) all morning is saying that page is not available and I hope that they are working on applications and that we will see changes soon....Just hope and wait...
