He/She, was asking if he could walk in without an appointment, didn’t you get that? I have seen your posts and they are usually not very friendly or helpful, what’s the purpose of you hanging around in this forum then???

Hello Everybody,

I am an OPNP candidate applied for PR in Nov 2014. I have received AOR and meds on 9th Apr'15. I have a closed work permit right now which means that I can only work for the employer mentioned in my work permit. We are in a mild recession and the company has started laying off people. In case I get laid off:

1) Can I stay in Canada on my closed WP status? Or I have to leave the country immediately.
2) What happens to my PR application? Is it terminated on the grounds of my unemployment? What could be my further course of action in that event.

Expert opinion is much appreciated.

It happened to my friend. You can stay in Canada as long as your work permit is valid for but you're not allowed to work for anyone unless you find another employer who's willing to sponsor you and you will also need to get a new work permit. I'm not sure what happens to you PR application

Me, I am not friendly, are you crazy. He is asking, Can I just walk in to do medical. Do you think in Canada , or anywhere to do medical test. You must have appointment. It is also mentioned in CIC website.

Some people are even lazy to read and understand, again some people. Forum is to learn, not for spoon feed.

You can do it without an appointment. Just try medicenter (heritage Village) Edmonton , that's what me and my friend did yesterday.
