You get a request to send in a photocopy of your passport rather than the actual passport itself. You also have to send two photos, a copy of the email they send, and a return express post envelope. Then they mail you a COPR letter which you take to the border to activate your PR status.

Thank you for the explanation, I'd never heard what happens in that case, so it makes more sense now.

Nov.8 Applicant: DM on 24th Aug: Waiting for PPR. It can be seen that the CIC has started the PPR for the Applications between Nov-3 and Nov-10.

what did you write in that email? The CIC agent wont even acknowledge any request any request unless your application is 16 months old.

So cic told you that yours was still in process yesterday then today you got ppr ? Makes no sense?

Actually my DM on 24 aug. She told me cic will contact soon. In process means may be they want to verify something before sending PPR. If you ask any agent about ur application they will say it is in process. I just want to confirm that my agent didn't miss any ppr email. Because after 30 days past ur ppr you are screwed up.
And some cic agent start answering phone calls if you are lucky.

Congrats Bpatel. I do have a question about the statement in bold since we depend on information shared on this website. Can you please expand on what you mean by "after 30 days past ur ppr you are screwed up"?
