Latest news says Canadian provinces get ready for Syrian refugee. I am wondering if that have an impact on our current process, In case of an hidden order from Immigration dept to put us on hold till a decision has been made. Just a concern ok.....
I think CIC has moved their resources now to syrian refugees thus we are getting late.

I need some help. Below is my time line.

SINP inland application (International Skilled worker)
Application sent on June 3, 2015
AOR received August 14, 2015
No updates after that.
My 3 post graduate work permit expires in March 2016.

I want to know, what if I do not renew my work permit. Can I go back home while my application is in process?

Thank you in advance for any feedback and inputs.

Hey Rahul

You might be eligible for Bridging open work permit (Certain federal economic class applicants)

You can apply for an open work permit if you:

-Have applied for permanent residence (PR) in Canada under one of the admissible categories of the economic class and are the principal applicant,
-Have received a positive eligibility assessment on your PR application or, if applicable, the Acknowledgment of Receipt from the processing office,
-Are currently in Canada, and
-Already have a valid work permit that is due to expire within 4 months.

Check these links:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/work/prov/bridging.asp

Application form: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/extend-worker.asp

I hope that helps.

Cheers

Hello all,

My dilemma is, I have been nominated for NSNP and the NOC is 2131 on my letter. This was the code
I selected when i filled the application form in January, because I have a BEng in this occupation and didn't know what I know now.
Afterwards I learnt that people were getting rejected because they select NOC that does not match their experience,
by then it was too late for me to change the NOC code in the application. NOC 2231 match my experience more and I more qualified in this category; although I have done a couple of the duties under NOC 2131. Now, when I make the application to CIC, should I select NOC 2231
that fit my experience more? or stick with NOC 2131, in which I have less experience?

Please help

This is a very nice reminder, it also helps me to figure out a several questions, like the PR positive assessment and spouse's open work permit eligibility as well. thanks.!

My employer submitted the IM5802 form today, and paid the 'compliance' fee, so that I could apply for a closed work permit. I drove down to Emerson and got a 2 year closed permit!

Not perfect - I'd have loved to get the open permit, but the waiting time would leave me out of status.

Now the very very VERY long wait for the next step of PR

Did you get support letter from pnp office and what docs

?

What I'm seeing/hearing from other threads on the forum here, is that a bunch of March applicants just got their medical requests, and that they may have *just* started sending some to early April applicants.

So, May applicants likely won't hear anything until... oh, I dunno... February? :P

hello all,

I have a question if anyone of you can please help me in that. I got my pnp this month and preparing documents for federal application. I have collected all documents.

My question is I am single and never married and do not have any dependent that I have to mention in my profile.
So in pnp checklist IMM 5690 these are document they are asking for-

*Additional dependant declaration IMM008DEP.
*Statutory declaration of common law union IMM5409
*declaration of non accompanying guardian for minors IMM5604.
So what do you guy think I should do, should I skip these form in my file as they are not associated to me as I am single and never been married or I should print these and write N/A and attach these form to my file. anyone had same experience can please help me.

any help given will be much appreciated. Thanks
