Thanks!! my friend!! We are anxious :-[ :-[

Processing has slowed down for inland applicant. Sudden medical strategy change(inland) and shown no or slow movement for inland applicants from sydney... Do you think it's a sign of a new strategic change or policy coming for inland applicants after upcoming election. To what extend do you agree or disagree? If positive, than the consequences could be devastating or welcoming? What's your view?

For Inland:
Jan applicants MR was issued previous within few days to a few weeks of EP.
Later due to recent change in Sydney's processing, Jan applicants received reminder email (for pcc, schedule A, rprf etc) on Aug 17.
Feb applicants received MR last week.
This week few feb applicants received reminder email.

So will it be 3 more months for MR?

Even if your medical doesn't come soon that doesdn't mean that you file isn't in process. They stardted processing my file on the day I got my EP, June 19, and no, day after they sent me a MR they changedy status in process, which means this is probably the last step.

Sounds about right - delays, inconsistency, a degree of incompetence (not everyone by any means, but by *some* for sure)...

I strongly suspect CIC are understaffed for the amount of paperwork that comes across their desks; and that a number of staff are under-qualified and/or under-trained. It's a system that's stretched beyond its limits. Bureaucracy and inefficiency are rife.

Sandra001,
What actually happening currently is that the guys who got MR in Apr/May gets DM in Aug/Sep. I do agree with you completely that MR is just one step in the whole process but but we dont know if they are actually proceeding with criminality and security and eligibility etc checks and its just the theory for now. Its all good and no time waste only if (if and only if) they are keeping MR at the last step.

We can evident on it only after 2-3 (or 6) months on the progress to see if they ever do some verification before they send MR or they might just start with MR.

So i still feel that the guys who received MR are lucky ones and they will get their DMs in 4-5 months for sure but its uncertain for the guys who are waiting for MR as they might have to wait another 4-5 months unless they issue DM in a month after MR like few other outland VOs.

What they did was:
Automated for EE and took all applications inland. I dont think they follow the previous process of sending applicants to other respective VOs to process the applicants from that area. So of course the understaffed is again halved.
Still PNP and other usual inland category applications are still at inland and dont want to distribute to other VOs due to old custom (habit) of processing these origin applications inland.

Also i wonder why inland cant process the file in 2 months when outland VO can issue DM/PPR in 4-8 weeks as its all the same systems to do all kind of verification.

So ultimately they are not ready to help themselves. Good luck to us :). let us try to enjoy the waiting period - which we dont have choice. ??? ::)
