I'm talking about owing (being given something because somebody is indebted to you to do so) versus owning (possessing).
CIC don't have to give anyone PR. It's not a god-given right
Sorry if there's been any confusion.
The point I'm trying to make is that all we can do is wait - even if that causes problems for us personally.
For example, if my employer hadn't paid the fee for me to get an LMIA exempt permit, then I would have lost the right to work in Canada in October 2015 - and would have just had to wait until PR before I could work again; or leave Canada, end the PR process, and have to apply again under another stream. I didn't want to have to leave, and I would have been super mad if that had happened - but I still wouldn't be able to blame CIC, as they don't OWE me permanent residency.
It's their process, they set the rules, they have all the control. I can get as angry as I want at CIC (and have done, several times, over their seeming inconsistency and in some cases incompetency), but I can't blame them.
Small difference perhaps, but that was the point I was trying to make. We can complain and moan on the forums as much as we want to (and usually it's pretty funny here too!) but we shouldn't expect that CIC will move heaven and earth to process our files.
Man, I'd love to have a job at CIC to work out how this all really works...!
True that we are in country which have best rules for immigrants no other country is that cool with immigrants like Australia , USA , England etc I read that there is 250000-300000 people coming Canada every year plus workers
