Hi everyone

Is AOR consider as file number?

Hello,

AOR stands for "Acknowledgment of Receipt." It is an official document issued by the Canadian government that confirms an application for permanent residence status in Canada. Typically, immigrants to Canada must hold permanent residence status for a period of time before applying for Canadian citizenship. The AOR does not give the applicant any rights within Canada; however, it still contains important information that the applicant will require during the application process for permanent residency.

Hello Everyone,

I need help regarding my work permit extension. I got AINP (International Graduate Category- Employer Driven Stream and NOC 0621) on October 20, 2016 and applied for PR under PNC paper based application on November 6, 2016. My application has been accepted by CIO by November 10, 2016 and my current 'Post graduate work permit' will expire by February 7, 2017 (almost in a month). Waiting to get AOR and application number as of now.

My employer refused to support closed work permit (HR said company policy doesn't allow them to support any immigration related affairs such as LMIA, closed work permit support, etc.). I think my only hope as of now is to apply for 'Bridging Open Work Permit' paper application and the processing times are 115 days from the day application is accepted by CIC. My only concern/question is that, "Will I be able to update AOR & file number on the paper application for Bridging Open Work Permit? "

i send my appication on first week of Nov, 2016. When can i get my file number raffly?

your company lied, they can apply close work permit for you. The only thing they need is register on cic web and pay 250 dollars to get you a emplyment number

Nobody lied to him,EMPLOYERS do not care. It was difficult to get SINP letter from employer

based that he studied in canada he got PGWP for 3 years.

Closed work permit is extremely specific case. I know a person who has closed work permit tied up to employer. It is hard for her to get open work permit or swap employer
