Yes, I'm paper based MPNP applicant.
Yes, I linked my application way back in September after about 2 weeks CIC received my application.

Just wondering is this the case with other applicants as well. Then what is AOR or UCI in these cases

Hi,

I think that is the reason you didn't receive email. If you have already linked your account, you would get all your updates via your cic portal. It is normal.

Anyone, correct me if I am wrong.

But this looks like hell. I know it takes around 3 months of time to get AOR but I am bit impatient person so hoping for best..

Hi InUkCa,

Just for my reference, when you say you linked your file with cic; does this mean you linked using your name, passport details and other background you have? Because otherwise you need AOR/UCI to link your file. (UCI means unique client identification and AOR means Acknowledgement of Receipt).

Also, if you can also confirm, if I am not wrong, to link without AOR/UCI, we need to go to cic login, click on "link file" button and select the third option. Right?

Because otherwise you need AOR/UCI to link your file. (UCI means unique client identification and AOR means Acknowledgement of Receipt). Is my CIC number (i.e. EPxxxxx) is now AOR?

Also, if you can also confirm, if I am not wrong, to link without AOR/UCI, we need to go to cic login, click on "link file" button and select the third option. Right? Regarding your query, as per my understanding, that number is your UCI. AOR is just a term that they received your file.

2. What is your first 4-5 letters/numbers of your file number assigned? It normally termed as UPI. So, I can check whether it is matches with my temporary number or not.

My temporary number is "XEP002XXXXX"

Yes, I was able to link my account last Oct. Temp file number given was XEP002XXXXX. Now it changed to EP002xxxxx.
