Hey, guys. My work permit is expiring in 2 days and I already applied for BOWP 2 weeks ago. It's my 3rd BOWP.
As my understanding, before the decision of the BOWP is made, I'm in the implied status and can continue to work. Is that right? Is that anything I should do or should care about?
I'm so worried these days and the call to IRCC was not answered...

I just called IRCC about this. The lady just confirm 2 things:
1) Is it for the same employer?
2) Do you apply before the expire date?

I think I'm in implied status since both answer are "yes".

I would not be so sure, there's a guy on the forum waiting from 2015
There are people getting good news from June/July every week, so i would like to stay optimistic.
We are not criminals waiting for justice, its just processing delays from CIC

Haha, no, we are law obedient, tax-paying residents. I know I am. And I can't get justice from CIC for no reason whatsoever :/ Most people applying with me got their "good news" over 6 months ago, and I''m still here.

It looks like I started celebrating a bit prematurely. Lol.

I got this from IRCC yesterday:

“Following a thorough review of the file, we have concluded that further clarification regarding the status of the application is needed.
We have sent a request to obtain additional details to the responsible office on January 7, 2019.”

God knows what it means, but there will be further delay for sure.

Did you ask for a status or they just sent you?

It was a response to the request I made before my status changed to DM. The first response was to inform me that my application has been approved.

Without any doubt, our files are being mal-handled

Got my BOWP refused today, they told that employer fees have to be paid with every single application for BOWP, ridiculous. Now I need to restore my status and then apply for work permit again and I can't work. This is just killing me

"On February 21, 2015, regulations pertaining to employers hiring Labour Market Impact Assessment exempt foreign nationals under the International Mobility Program (IMP) came into effect:
• Before the foreign national makes their application for a work permit, the employer must submit an Offer of Employment to the Minister using the electronic system made available by the Department for that purpose;
• Employers must pay the employer compliance fee of $230.00, unless they are exempt from the fee requirement under subsection R303.1(5)."

Hi, I read the thread, and they have refused my application today with exactly the same reason. Really do not know what to do. I have PhD received from Canada 2017, submitted my PR application 20 months ago, and applied through PNP. What happened to you at the end? Should I stop working right now?
