How long it’s taking to get back the pp?sent 5th Jan. And what is TRV? Do I also need something else after Pr stamp on pp I mean like trv? Iam planning to go to India and do landing on the the way back . Is it safe?

My friend got his pp back within 20 days, TRV is temporary resident visa, if your trv is valid ... I don’t see any reason to be unsafe , but if your trv has run out I would advice you to contact the cic !

my medical was done in October 2017. I so u mean once I get my pp then again I need to apply for TRV? My workpermit is good till August of this year. And I didn’t had TRV on pp before. Thanks

Pr stamp is an immigrant visa which is placed on your passport. You have to leave country and come back (land) as permanent immigrant using that visa. You can travel to anywhere you want. When you will be back, you will be considered as PR.
TRV is temporary resident visa which is for study/work permit holders (temporary resients). You will be the permanent residence of canada. Congratulations!

Thanks . I was planning to go to India after I get my pp back from Ottawa. That’s why I was thinking if I need any documents when I will be entering to Canada after 2-3 months. What I need basically ? Just don’t wanna take any risk

Apply for prtd.once your passport comes back cross usa boarder.if u do thar they will send your documents for P.R card.meanwhile u can have your valid indian passport go india.& their apply for PRTD. This travel document application u can do from indian adress that will cost you 50$. INR 2450.once you recieve that travel doc you can re-enter canada again on single entry.

I still believe we will get it before 18 months
My friend got BGIP at 17 mos and 1 week and ppr a week later

If you get on phone with Cic ask them due date on your file set my officer and if you security check already started and let us know
