This is what I found on CIC's website:

"Completion check: Once you have submitted your application, we will check to determine that all required application forms have been properly completed and submitted, that the application processing fee has been paid, and that all required documents are submitted from the document checklist.

If your application lacks any of the requested documents, it will be returned to you. Failure to provide supporting documents in certain circumstances may result in the refusal of your application.

Acknowledgment of receipt: If your application is complete, it will be placed into processing. You will be sent a letter or e-mail that:

notifies you of this fact and provides you with your CIC office file number
sets out some basic instructions for contact with the CIC office processing your file
gives you a brief outline of future processing steps."

Ok maybe its because you received email while i received a pdf in mycic account. or maybe it could be because i have sent out all my fees and PCCs with initial file. Well either wya im sure its AOR for both.

Sorry I do not understand your question.

The email also provided Application number and stated that I should "Quote these numbers when corresponding with our office."
Hi ScarletSails,

We received the same email. A Friend of mine says we might received the same email as AbdulHannan

Hi!
Can help you with the point 2.
Please follow and study a file by the following link:

Hey Yuran87! Thanks a lot for your help. Attempting to link it did work unfortunately when i followed the steps and attempted to link i got the following response:

"Based on the information you entered, we found: no applications.
What do I do next?
You can:
• go back and try again, as you may have made a mistake entering your information
• wait 24 hours, as sometimes it can take time for applications to be entered into our system"

Now I'm just unsure what to think of this. Did anyone else face this?

This response is normal. Some applicants were able to link application before AOR. You can easily link your application after AOR. Don't worry at all. Even I had to wait for3 months to link my Paper based application online

I think u can search it after some effort, but they are very lazy in this field, may be they would tell u wrong information. The best method to contact them is Case Specific Inquiry.

Hi,
How does the UCI looks like? I sent my application on mid July and I haven't get any AOR. However, on Oct 4, they send me an email asking for 1 document and UCI: T120699768312, Application: XEP00233868 was mentioned in the email. Is that the real UCI number or temporary?

Thank you

It is not UCI. IT is only 7 digit number. This Application is temporary, after removing X it's change as permanent. Don't you will get soon.
