Guys,

I have applied to CIC through AINP. My application was received by CIC Sydney on Sep 22, 2016 and I have received AOR on Dec 22, 2016. I have paid the RPRF already and now waiting for MR. Any idea when I can expect it???

I was thinking to do upfront medical in few weeks. But, not sure if it could save some times at the end. By the way, what would be the medical category if I do upfront medical ? I have been nominated by AINP-International Student (Employer Driven) category. I applied for my spouse as a dependent as well.

Thanks for your suggestion.
You are expecting the MR in Sep 2017. I don't think upfront ME will save much time, if you insist, I would recommend you do the upfront later since ME only last for a year. you have to be sure you would get landed before it expires.

I'm in the same boat. Got my RPRF paid and now nothing from them since February. I was thinking about upfront medical too but not sure if they're going to ask it because I have passed it twice already during my stay. Usually they ask for some sort of immigration paper from you when you come to pass it

I was wondering if we can post the medical form to NS, Sydney or i can use case specific inquiry through mycic?

do we have to write a cover letter to explain the situation?

thanks.

Hi,

I received AOR on Dec 2016 and application was received in Aug 2016.

As per forum, there are many waiting for medical since March 2016. I wonder when will I get my medical request.

I landed on 25th march 2017, at Calgary international airport.

PR Landing was much better than expected. The immigration officer did not asked for any document except the COPR. Though I took with me bank statements etc for funds. Nor did he asked for the ticket or other document for journey to Winnipeg.

The only thing asked was address at Winnipeg for PR Card, and informed that it will take about 2-3 months for PR card to come.

Other things SIN and medical registration took less than an hour in Winnipeg. I forgot to ask for SIN at Calgary.

Please see timeline. Wish all the best fellow forum members.

Thank you for your response.

And how long does it take from MR to PR. Is it another 4 months after August.

I am not sure about this. It seems varies case by case. Seems like 2-4 months generally.

For people that are considering doing an upfront medical exam, I really don't think that's necessary.

First of all, if it's recommended, it would be listed in the application form, just like they recommend us to have the police report early.

Besides, I don't see strong evidence that people who did upfront medical exam got their PR quicker. The overall processing time is the same for everyone.

As a result, there's no need to worry too much or even make a fuss about this "whether I should do upfront medical exam" issue.

Hey guys just found one thing I don't know if you aware, when you log in to your CIC and then go to Application/profile details there is a button "View submitted applications" in there I found all the documents they have requested from me through email. I wish I saw that before maybe the processing time would be quicker. Maybe will help to anybody hopefully I'm the only dump who didn't check it before
