I am not working just taking care of my 2 year old. My lawyer said BGIP won't affect your file if you are taking care of baby. Even my employer also told me if CIC will contact I will tell them that you are taking care of baby and currently employed with us.....

Yes you are right but somebody told me like if you not gonna join the work then they will take more time for your application and somebody will keep watch on you for BGIP lol
Nobody have time and if your employer is with you then cic doesn't care....

My local MP just email me back my security not start yet, everything else was passed & processing time just a guideline. what a shame, at the end of the day I guess still have to wait for few more years.

Hello,

Can anyone help me answer these questions if you know anything?

First, I am PNP applicant (paper-based & inland) and October 2017 AOR (your application is in process).

1) Does Express Entry and paper-based application processing steps are all the same?

2) I am not sure what stage I am right now. (Not sure if my Background Check status changed "N/A" or not previously...)
But my Background Check status currently states, "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information." (Probably same status when I got the AOR.)
Two weeks ago, I got the additional document request letter (clearance certificate and re-submit Schedule A for the gap) from CIO and the medical request next day.
I did medical exam next day morning and the status changed to "Passed" in one day.
Also, I submitted all the additional documents they asked for within the week I got additional document request letter and status is now "The additional documents you provided have been uploaded."
Even though I read the processing steps in the internet, I am confused which stage I am in right now. (I think the Background Check status that I have right now should be in IP2, but the letter for requesting the additional documents is from CIO, so I believe I am still in IP1?)
Can anyone tell me what stage I am and how close I am from PPR?

what is your status of BACKGROUND CHECK in your CIC?

i heard from couple of people to get the status check from CSIS https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en if your file is with them on the background check i think after that another department analysis and reports back to cic.....
