Hello everyone,
I have some questions regarding work permit and pr application. I applied for pr application under provincial nominee program on august 31st ,2016. recently I got AOR . On the other side, my girlfriend applied for pr application under provincial nominee program on September ,2016 and she also got AOR. Both of us has closed work permit until 2018 . I am not getting enough hours to survive in my job so I want to apply for open work permit so I have some questions:-
(1) should I get marry to my girl friend and be dependent on her and apply for open work permit. Am I eligible for that? I am ready to withdraw my file? or
(2) can I apply for open work permit using AOR ? but my work permit will be expired in 2018.

Any help will be appreciated.

A friend of mine has received AOR on 18th Oct, but after that there is no update. Just want to know how much time generally is taken post AOR and what are the other steps in between AOR and final PR stamping.

Dear all,

I got CIC request today for Police Clearance from Bolivia where my husband used to stay for more than 6 months.

As he is not Bolivian and are no longer living there, do you know or know someone who knows where we should start?
I checked the link in CIC's website on how to get the Police Certificate from countries around the world, it seems not practical for us to send in a mail with required documents and just wait for Bolivian Department of Police to response within 60 days ( a time line CIC gave me)

I appreciate your sharing, instructions on this matter.

Same, Changed from in progress to not needed this time on Jan 10. I think it will go back to "In progress" before PPR. My upfront medical showing passed now. Not sure how long it will take from now to get ppr.
