Hi everyone,

What does it mean when CIC ask you to send them your resume? Is it a good or bad sign? Does it mean you have got stuck in security check? I have a friend applied for PR by OINP in June 2017 (Federal) and was asked fro resume last week.

I was requested to send my resume on July 03, I uploaded it through webform on July 04. I received an email on July 24 that they received it. No update since then. I am Jan 27, 2017 applicant. I think he/she has stuck in security check. Hopefully it doesn't take a long time for him/her.

Hi Guys anyone ever see this i had a conviction which i stated and also in my police check the out come was a absolution discharge a caution and is deemed time spent after 6 months this was one count on 2004 so its deemed rehabilitated by passage of time they have requested the following - Court judgment: Court judgment relating to the criminal charge/conviction

March 6 2017 applicant
14 December 2017-Per arrival letter
13 December 2017-Req doc for spouse background
1 March 2018-Medical req & passed
24 September 2018-Ghost update
24 September 2018-Req doc RCMP & Schedule A online for Primary applicant
(the status changed as "the additional document have been uploaded") - September 25 2018
i Called CIC on 27 September they said my file is in Etobicoke office ,
Security -not started
criminality - in progress
4 Oct 2018 - sent mail to etobicoke office with updated RCMP finger print

Urgent help!!!
Does anybody have any idea about this situation. My wife's BOWP was refused yesterday (she applied 2 months ago) because my work permit as principle PR applicant will be finished at the end of October (I also applied for BOWP one month ago). CIC has told her in the letter that she has to re-apply for restoration. I wonder what we have to do? has anybody experienced this situation?! I am Jan 27 applicant (20 months passed already).

In our PR application, I am the principle applicant (PA), and my work permit is finished by the end of this month. So, they have told that the status of PA is valid until Oct. 30, so they refused her BOWP application.

You both should have applied together because her permit renewal is based on your current status.

I am Jan 16 2017 applicant still waiting for PPR.

32 months that’s too long wait I don’t think so i can wait that long.

Really worried and stressful time. Processing time is 19 months and I have competed 22 months already . Why they don’t understand PR matters a lot to everyone who living and working here for there better future . While waiting for 2 years just to process PR file really make me sad that’s way too much time they taking to process files .

Same here i complete my 21 month. I called my mp and she is trying best to get detailed update that y still they have not start my security check.

What did you do after rejection?

You should have first extended your work permit and then applied for a bowp for your wife, as you are the PA, she will get work permits based on the time period of yours. Since she applied before extending yours and your WP is less then 6 months valid ( in your case only 1 or 2 months were valid when she applied ) it got rejected
Now you got to extend ur work permit and then apply restoration of ur wife first. Get a visitor visa for her and then apply for a open work permit based on your WP
