Have you called cic recently?? What did they say that about your file??

they don't give satisfactory answer m stuck with criminality
They always say background in process
It's been more than a year background check in process
I got 5 gcms every one has criminality in process
First notes got oct 2016 criminality was in process that time
I added spouse 4 aug 16 that could be reason for delay

If your work permit expires May (Assuming 2018), then you should get PPR long before that unless, you are stuck in background processing.

requirements bridging open work permit

It did not address whether your current work permit can be open or closed. However, normally if you had an open Work permit then your PNP nomination certificate comes with no restriction. However, I have seen some persons saying that even though they had an open work permit, they were employed in NOC C and as such given nomination with restrictions. I have never seen a case though, where a person is on a closed work permit and get a nomination with no restriction. Is this possible?

Hi just FYI, I am on closed work permit and has NO Restriction on PNP certificate.

Check application processing times

Processing times may be longer than expected due to the earthquake in Mexico.

You may be able to view your application status online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

I currently hold closed work permit with no restriction on my pnp certificate. However I applied for Ainp while on PG OWP and got my nomination a week before my owp expired.

No need for panicking, they said "MAY", if your local visa office isnt Mexico then you should be fine.

I agree, first of all its only a possiblity at this stage and secondly, they havent specified which category or anything of that nature. The processing times unless they change, please dont unecessarily create panic among people as it will only add to frustrations and stress. People will explore on own eventually.

My PNP certificate came under no restrictions for employment. My work permit is closed because when I got it, I got it through NAFTA program. I have a BSc in Math so I can apply with no LMIA for the work permit as long as I have the employer.
I am just scared CIC might want to re-check on employment. I have read that sometimes the ask for a letter from the employer when doing the PPR?

Inland applicant here. Could anyone please tell the timeline from request for updated Sch A to receiving MR?
