Hello Everyone
Since CIC is so slow in processing and my bridging open work permit is expiring in November 2017( Paper based PNP - medical request received and submitted -November 16 and the case is still in process almost after 7 months of medical),I need to build backup plan. Given the fact that i have received express entry invitation , should I file the express entry , and extend the bridging open work permit (if possible) in July 2017 ? or will it be possible to extend my existing bridging open work permit which was issued based on paper based pnp ?

Forum members who are preparing other backup plans , please share your risk management strategy. Thanks

If CIC request any document or Form after u r done with ur medicals.... Then they ll always take 1 to 1 n half month more than d actual processing times.
Not completely true. I have seen cases where they have asked for updated passport details(applicants who's passport was about to expire), they have got DM early than scheduled processing time.

they approve so many files in jzz 11 months it totally depends upon officer to officer.

in which month u applied?

How long does it take for PPR after DM?

its been 25 days since decision made no ppr yet.so you never know how long to wait

If forum members are interested , they can send story about delays to media

I found one example online:

My file location is PACE now. What does that even mean?
Also my security section is redacted in the GCMS notes I got. Do I need to worry about this?

I got decision made last month still waiting for PPR. Call CIC couple of times and answer is keep an eye on email you will receive some thing soon.

Thanks

Absolute insanity... My timeline applied pr 03 Feb 2016. Not even medical undated as accepted. BC PNP

A girl I know she applied on 20 Jan 2016 got her approved 26 April 2017.

Cheers

Hi mate,

This stuff is pure insane... Call CIC and ask them why your medical is not updated on website... It may lead to another problem or delay in file processing

Cheers :);)

CIC Call center Information is not much relevant regarding processing time and when your file wil be processed. They give u maximum time line so that u don't call them back. Jan and most of feb applicants should get result by mid of June. All the best guys and Congo to ppl who got DM or PPR

I hope that's true...

Any mid Feb applicants Background Check "In Progress" from Not Applicable? Cuz mine still says not applicable.
