Oh really... I didn't know that. I was thinking they might eventually transfer it to Los Angeles or New York.
Do you know what's the timeline for inland applicants?
And, do you know any other applicants from the US?

Friend, I am so glad to have found your post. I am applying from US as well and application processed within Canada.

if they send your file to CSIS for security it will take at least 6 months more (22-24 months). I applied in Dec 2015 and still waiting and many inland applicants are waiting from July 2015.

Does traffic tickets plays a role too?? What if I got fines in the past for passing the red light...
If you did not pay the fines, it may delay your application. I have read about it somewhere.

How can we know that file was sent to CSIS for security check? Did you find it in your GCMS notes?

My wife did not pass criminality yet. She does not have any violations. But CIC put it on hold. Medicals was passed a month ago. Any thoughts? Thanks

Isn't criminal checks are done before they issue medicals ?

Guys help if you can !

I am an inland applicant. I have done medical yesterday. My passport is expiring Jan 20,2018. Will CIC request for passport for visa stamp? Do I need a visa for landing?
Should I renew my passport now since it has be valid for at least 6 months?

Let me know please! Thanks
they ask us to renew our daughter's passports as would expire in may 15 ( the request was sent in February right after medical exam) we got the ppr on April 21

It sounds weird, but my criminality was passed and her was not, they put it on Hold ( according my GCMS notes). Certificate was translated in my home country. It was issued in March, and she came to Canada in July. Maybe they want to check this period of time. It says clearly that she doesn't have any criminal records.

And another thing guys, my background check is in Progress since receiving of AOR ( on My CIC account)

Same weird thing with Medical. She passed her last year, and she was not ask to update it anymore this year. Recently only I received MR. BTW on My CIC account medical shows Passed now, so they probably extended her medical.

I got gcms notes today
On 2nd last page there is written like that..

***CHANGE IN MARITAL STATUS*** Single to married. File forwarded as Complex Case
Do i need to worry about it?
