It does not affect your application in any way. Linking your application only helps you getting better notification and updates on your file.

Thanks for writing back.
M only worried coz we are unable to check
The status on ECAS.

By "we" i am assuming you applied with your spouse. I was having same kind of difficulty but eventually i was able to link my application with my online account.
Here is what i did:
I skipped City of Birth and country of birth and for number of applicants i used "1" instead of 2. Try it, i hope it works for you.

Hi.
I tried but the prob is she don't have last name listed on her passport.
So what should I do with that?
I need a super trick .
And one more thing I want to ask you
Is it possible to link one application with 2 different working accounts??
Is it possible?

Hello folks, my timeline here:

Nominee: Oct 2015
send in PNP: Nov 2015
AOR: Feb 2016
RPRF and update schedule A: beginning of Aug 2016
Update information received: mid of Aug 2016
now waiting for MR. my friend applied one month prior to me has just done MR 2 weeks ago.

Will update schedule A delay the process? I am a little worried now. hopefully I can get MR at beginning of October.

Hey everyone,

I sent in my application for permanent residence on February 8, 2016.
CIC sent AOR for my application on April 15, 2016 and starting processing April 16, 2016.
I received a email remainder on September 26 2016 to submit my RPRF fee, New Schedule A and police certificate. I have till Oct 26 to submit all 2 documents.

1. Will it be ok to submit a RCMP police report from October 15 2016 or do i need to do a new police report ?
2. Secondly, when do i do my Medicals as i thought i was suppose to do my medicals before they request my RPRF fee ? Should i go ahead and do my medicals in anticipation for a medical request ?
3. How do i submit the RPRF, schedule A and police report via MyCIC ? I am having trouble navigating my profile and still unable to link my profile to my application

Please help as i am frustrated with this whole immigration process.

Your timeline is very close to mine, so I guess myself will get document request soon.

1. I think you mean Oct 15, "2015". If so, the answer is NO. Most PCC is valid for an year, and RCMP may be valid for only 6 months. Go and get a new one.
2. Things has been changed and now the new pattern seems like AOR-Reminder(RPRF)-Additional Docs-MR-PPR and so on. Since you got document requests, next step would be MR. It seems Oct-Nov 2015 applicants are getting MR nowadays. You may take up-front medical if you want, though.
3. Your correspondence mail should have an instruction to submit the documents: mostly either mail/courier(if they need original) or Case-specific Enquiry(if copy/scan is enough). For paper-base applicants, submission via myCIC is not allowed.

I am sorry to hear that, if your PNP nomination is an open nomination, this should not affect your immigration file or work permit application.
If it is closed then it may become a little complicated. CIC usually does not bother with employment status, their job is to do background, medical and criminal checks but some time employment may be looked into. You should not take any chances and contact an immigration lawyer asap and get their advice on this.
Good luck!

Thanks for your responses! Yes, my nomination is open - I applied APNP under strategic stream as an international graduate - there's no restrictions on job offers or employers.

I also sent a case specific inquiries using a fake name (afraid of any impact on my applications lol)...about if being unemployed would impact my application. Just a super official response from the CIC office, they didn't mention any impact of the change of the employment status or let me notice Alberta gov for the change... so I suspect this means no impact....I have applied the bridging working permit and will see how it plays out.....crossing my fingers!!!

Does anyone know once you provided additional documents required by CIC through case specific inquiry, how long it will take till the application status get updated???

I sent the required document over 3 weeks ago, only received a couple of emails that says 'my inquiry was received, or the documents were forwarded to the responsible officer'. But my status still shows 'you action is needed - we need additional documents from the applicants'....

Not sure if the docs i provided were adequate or not...any ideas????

Many thanks!

Ohh you are good, you dont even need to worry about this. I have known people who have lost their jobs and CIC never bothered to check their status cuz their nomination was open.
I am an AINP strategic stream as although mine is engineering.
