Hey.
could you let me know what all you need to do after you are done?
I just got MR too and I booked mine on the 13th. that was the earliest available.
I'm in Calgary so it may be different to where you're.
Here in Calgary, I was even able to book in for the same day.
You may need to bring:
IMM1017 form, what you've received from IRCC.
Passport and current status document (i.e work permit)
Any medical record if you have medical issue.
List of medication you're taking.
Then you will answer the questionnaire sheet about your medical history.
They will take your picture and print out e-medical form.
Basic physical check up:
BP, height, weight, and vision.
Body reaction, movement, and so on.
You may talk to doctor about pre-existing med condition and medication.
So far I paid $220 for about 20 minute visit.
Then you will be given requisitions for lab test and x-ray. X-ray is for TB, and lab test will take blood and urine for certain diseases like HIV.
You don't have to fast (empty stomach) but better to be. Take a lot of water before you go. Read carefully for urine sampling, since it's most likely mid-stream sample. Best time to book in would be 10-11 am, so that you can stay hungry enough and your over-night urine is flush.
I paid extra $75 for X-ray and $60 for lab test.
Once test results are done, it will be reported to the doctor's office. The doctor will review the case later and update e-medical. If he/she find abnormality, you will be called for follow-up.
I've been told nothing to do on my side after the medical is done. The doctor said it may take up to 10 business days to show up after lab and x-ray are done. Take it easy and call the doc's office to make sure your case is submitted if nothing shows up after 10 business days.
