does DFA allow early renewal? if so, its much better so you can update IRCC ahead of time rather than waiting for them to request a new passport and wait another couple of months for updates.

i think so, coz when i did mine,,it was still valid for 2 years, but the agency wants it valid for 3 years at least so i renewed mine.

the hardest thing to do is really wait for updates from IRCC. last year was a bit different from our APR. with all the changes, backlogs and undermanned immigration and not to mention immigration officers on vacation. we are forever will be waiting for updates to happen on time.

im a little bit frustrated with the news about Minister Mccallum on his plans for this year and next year. He says he will be suggesting in his committee to scratch and change some rules in the LMIA to attract more TFW and immigrants. Meaning more to come for express entry applicants and more back logs for the ones who are not in the express entry. :( :( :(

News update from IRCC

They should concentrate on current pile of applicants waiting before they accept more and changes some guidelines just to get more applications in. Canada needs more applicant so that there would be a greater revenue.
Hope they realise they are not helping those people who disperately in line waiting patiently.

Lord Please give us more strength and courage for our families that have been waiting for us.
Keep praying everyone.

I just checked MyCIC account and the information updated to "We need your medical information". Haven't received any MR email or MyCIC account message yet. Looks like we have to wait for emails to figure this out...

i wish i could link my APR to MyCIC account. The only thing that is keeping me from doing so is that i have to revoke my APR representative. so i have to rely on ordering GCMS since i cant even get any decent updates from my APR representative.

Usually cic will ask remedical for who lives in outside canada so don't worry.

Just received an account updated alert email. Logged in and looks like it is regarding the update from yesterday. Haven't received any MR email yet.
This morning called CIC and they said our Eligibility and Background check has passed. In the account, they both still show in progress at this moment.

this is good news for you. having said that you havent received any MR yet, is it a Medical reassessment you're waiting for? or the initial MR?

would you mind to share the timeline between the IRCC's request on the Medical reassessment of your son and your husband?

i am still waiting for RMO manila to request the medical reassessment of my wife. my 2 daughters Medical reassessments have already been forwarded to IRCC-CIO last july. and its been a month now and still i haven't heard any updates yet if they will require my wife to have her MR reassessed.

Yes, it is the medical reassessment I was waiting for. Still haven't got that email yet.
We had done our initial MR early June last year.
