March 2015 applicant waiting for PPR:

I linked my PR application to myCIC account and got the followings which I think are useless. But wondering if anybody else has done it and if they also got the same thing.

Application/profile status Open
Review of eligibility Review in Progress
Review of medical results Passed
Scheduling an interview Not needed at this time
A background check is needed In Progress
Final decision Not Started

what does it mean if

A background check is needed Not needed at this time

Does it mean that background check is not required or it has not yet started?

Hi milo2015!

I'd say, "it has not yet started".

If the result of your medical hasnt been received yet, then my guess is that the background check will start once med result(s) will be received.

I am a Feb 02 applicant and still waiting for the DM/PPR as well. I called CIC today and they said my file is all right and still in process. The gcms notes indicates my file was transferred for some security screening and now it is transferred back to Sydney.

Not sure how many 2015 Feb applicant are still waiting for DM/PPR. Could post and let know.

I dont think its about clearing Feb or March as many of April already received ppr. So its about your addl doc you sent recently which will get processed in sometime. Depending on luck you will get ppr in the next few weeks. Some lucky ones got it in 5 weeks.

It will take a while due to addl doc sent recently. same as above - luck dependency.

Feb 18th applicant, and still waiting. Called CIC and they said I have to wait more.

My view on seeing messages from call center to wait more:
I dont think many call center guys are telling correct status in the application as i see that many received the same update like "need to wait more". Only for few guys they sent a note to the vo and vo sent ppr for them soon but not hearing like they did sometime when they tell that we need to wait for more time. I dont think they are helping. So please order gcms to understand more about the application apart from calling them and waiting.

Im also march 12 applicant, still waiting for dm/ppr. If i may ask, why did they request for Schedule A? Did you miss something when you first submitted it?
