Hello,

If anybody had the same situation or has any idea about below situation, I would appreciate your reply:

My spouse has PGWP, I am dependant and have open work permit. I am principal PNP PR applicant and I am waiting for MR.
We are planning to travel outside of Canada, so we need to get TRV. TRV check list says that work permit holders should provide a letter from employer that he/she is currently working. Yes, my spuse should provide that employment letter, he is PGWP holder and I am just dependant. But, on the other hand I am the principal PNP PR applicant and I have to keep working according to my immigration requirements too. Should I too provide a letter from my employer or just my spouse should???
Thank you in advance.

Its very interesting to note that cic has approved about 13000 refugee applications in less than a month..I dont think they waive any security check or background,criminality etc for the refugees..So..it is very clear that if they want they can do the whole blah blah procedures way faster...but they simply play with our lives by using the term "PROCESSING TIME" of 15,20,30 months and so...Very frustrating..Now Canada has the longest timeline when compared to other countries..

I think that visa/immigration officers have power to adjudicate if he/she wants based on the documents received. From our pnp batch we all filed to cio in May2015 and for few of us got their files transferred to manila and paris visa offices and their application got finished in 2-3 months for some of us (including ppr). For some in london and mexico it got over before year end. For one of us he got DM in 3 months of file transfer from sydney to ottawa but got ppr after 3 months.

So i am thinking that these security and what not is not going to take time as they really cannot check on it and they just do some name and passport check in the interpol/whatnot and if the name/number doesnt appear then they just pass it through hence it would be matter of checking it in the system and dont think anyone goes anywhere to verify or request for any security/criminality clearance separately in those countries. If those VOs can issue in 2 months and i believe its the same capability for any other VOs except for the fact that if some VOs have too many applications then thats what dragging or some VOs work with reminders of revisiting applications anywhere from 2-6 months based on the system and dont touch the applications till it reminds them to look into it.

Interesting point you raise. My file is at the Sydney office but i got an email from Manilla, Philippines regarding my medical. It looks like the medical team atleast whos reviewing my medical is in the Manilla, philipines office. I think the NS office dont have a medical team at their office so they use other offices to review the medicals.

Are you inside Canada or US? If so then your visa office is Sydney. If not it would have been transferred to Manila due to your current address of Manila zone countries.

I think Medical team might be common one and sitting in few locations but no one from inland told that they received any communication from Manila. You may be right but not sure. What they asked on medicals? You mean you received medical request email?

Why it was rejected? can you please provide some background? Is your PNP has employment restriction? Thanks

This is very important for many of us who will apply BOWP in next few moths. Please kindly share your experience

I had to resubmit mine in September. I emailed them asking them to confirm receipt of the form which they did. Separate and apart from that there hasn't been any update since.

Because I missed one document... the PNP certificate.

Exactly. And it's not just the PNP nomination. You have to get another letter from the Director of the PNP program, which will mention that :

- the nominee is urgently required by the Province-based employer who has made them a job offer;
- the job offer is genuine and will create economic benefits or opportunities;
- the employment is not part-time or seasonal; and,
- the wages and working conditions of the employment would be sufficient to attract and
retain Canadian citizens.

The Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) exemption code is T13.

So you gotta upload both these documents in order to receive an extended work permit.

Best of luck to all.
