My bf summit his application April 15 and got his AOR in the middle of July. He has not received a reminder email or his MR. He is an inland MPN, I am getting worried since end of April applicants have got MR.

Also my bf's employer specific WP will expire in February. He was able to get that WP just before the employer compliance fee started. He doesn't think his employer will be able to pay the fee because its not in their policies to pay work permit fees for his position. So he will need to try to apply for a BOWP soon. My understanding is that in order to qualify for a BOWP your eligibility must be set at passed in GCMC.

If anyone has recently applied for and/or received a BOWP please share any knowledge you have gained in your experience. Also has anyone received GCMS notes? If so can they tell me how long after submitting their application did their GCMS say "passed"? Did it say passed shortly after getting the AOR?
I got one year open work permit you don't have to employee fee if you have AOR you guys are fine to get new work permit. I suggest just apply for new one in mid of January atleast you can work 2-3 months before decision and also you will have your pr by that time

I have just received my MR and RPRF through E-mail.

Thanks Guys……… ;) ;)

Read in another thread that some people have been denied BOWP even if they got their AOR because Apparently AOR does not necessarily mean your GCMS has been set to passed. Not in PNP class but still a BOWP application from people applying for PR.

Needing your GCMS to be set to passed is a new rule, previously having AOR was enough. So if you got your BOWP last year this rule may not have applied to you.

Really would like to know if anyone under PNP has received their GCMS notes so we can know about when in the process is usually gets set to "passed'?

This should clear things up for you: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/work/prov/bridging.asp

In the meantime while you are waiting for someone who has received GCMS Notes to see when it is set to PASS, I would suggest that it is more important that your bf apply for his open work permit with is AOR.

Hey mcjosh. Well, the good news is that we are far ahead of what ECAS is showing. The only thing left for us now is for a CIC doctor to view our medical results and then relate this information to the respective department so they can send out the PPR.

***to all forum members with similar timeline as mine***
If you are planning on flagpoling at the Albert-USA border after PPR let me know .

All medical results either upfront or when requested by CIC is valid for 12 months from the date CIC receives it in their database. As long you are still within this 12 month timeframe then you have nothing to worry about. If from the time you submitted your upfront medicals and it has pass 12 months then you may have to consider (I) doing and submitting another upfront medical or (ii) Wait on CIC for further correspondence.
