Yes, I completed the medicals this week. Nothing showed up online yet.

It's taking CIC 2-3 weeks to update online status to Medicals Received. We should see it soon.

I got an auto loan with TD finance. Try them.

I tried them too. Both BMW Financial and TD is not willing. So I dropped the plans for now.

Will wait till I get my PR. Thanks for your info though

I haven't done my criminal record check, do they ask for it or we will just do it and send them?

PP Request time line is really up in the air right now. It used come around 6 months after your medicals but the way things are going, it could come as early as 2-3 months. Let's hope it comes sooner rather than later.

As far as background checks are concerned, you were supposed to send them (when you send your complete PR file) your police report of any country where you have lived for six or more months in a row since the age of 18. We don't have to send them our Canadian police report as they can pull that data very easily.

They might ask for additional documents if they are confused about something or if they find something is incomplete in our file.

If everything is perfect with our files, it should be transferred to Ottawa very soon and things should move along from there.

It isn't necessary that one should submit background check along with the package. And they haven't asked me till now
