Hello all,
I'm new here. I mean, I have been searching the forum for a couple months, but I just registered today.
The more I read the threads the more I freak out.
My situation is this: BC PNP nominee, nomination received on Jan 16th, CIC application received by CIO on April 1st, PGWP issued to passport old passport expiry date, expiring in June 30th, 2015.
My mistake was to wait for my FBI report before sending the application to CIC. I couldn't do much with regards to the work permit extension, as we are supposed to apply within 90 days of the expiry date.
Anyways, I applied for my PGWP extension on paper as per instructions received from CIC call centre, as I coudn't make the online tool work for my situation. The expected processing time for paper applications was about 76 days, but after I applied it changed to 109 days and this is freaking me out.
The extension was received by CPC Vegreville on April 10th.
By the way, I did not apply for a closed work permit because of the Feb 2015 changes that now require LMIA-exempt applicants to have their employer submit an additional form and pay a fee.
I am extremely worried because it's taking too long for CPC to process the application and if for some reason they decided to return my application after Jun 30th, it would be too late for me to try to fix this.
What is the likelihood of having my PGWP extension denied in this situation?
Is there anyone here that was in similar situation and have any kind of advice, or even words of wisdom to make me calm down?
Thanks a lot and good luck to us all!
