Do you know what reason why you need to go through Security ? Is it your background special ??? Its been 15months, and I do not even have MR...

I don't know.. may be because of my travel history.. I traveled a bit (Europe, UAE, etc..) for my previous occupation.
I have a friend from the same country with me, who applied for PR (BCPNP Paper Based) last year (end of April 2018). He also got his PPR today (just after 12 months of his application)..

Congratulations, I'm March 2017 as well but still in this security check I lost any hope I have
how do you know the Ghost Update, what did you saw? I only have access to ECAS, and when they Extended your medical did you saw it in the ECAS?
I'm also BCPNP inland, but I'm really super frustrated, every time I call the agent, the same answer, security in the process.

I was also in the same boat till March 8, 2019. I got the Passport request on march 8-2019. I applied in Jan 30-2017 paper AINP. I contacted regional Member of Parliament (Riverbend area MP- Mr Matt Jeneroux office) for my file status on Feb 20-2019. The office of MP took about 2 week and informed me that my by email that file is good and in final review process on March 6. I got passport request on Mar 8, 2019. My medicals would expire on Mar 22, 2019 but CIC didn't ask for 2nd medical a week before as in some applicants cases. I hope you can contact your regional Member of Parliament (local minister)of your area in Canada province. They might help you by enquiring, only when your application has crossed the regular timeline. There are also posts that after contacting MP, they got passport request almost in 2-3 days time. Even my friend also did the same. He is on express entry but took 9.5 months. He contacted local MP, got the passport request the next day.
All the best. You should get soon. If you get CIC call center, ask for Background check when did they start. Mine started in August 2018 and officially said that Dec 12-2019 Background check has been completed.

I just got an email that I've been invited for an interview with my husband. We are in-land applicants (Ontario), I did not know there is an interview in the process. Is that a normal thing? Does anyone have a similar experience? in the letter, it is called a landing interview.

Received my application from CIC on hand - 15 March 2017
Resubmitted with missing documents to CIC on - 20 March 2017
CIC received my application on - 24 March 2017

Waiting for AOR now........

They asked for passport and photos in their letter to bring to the interview.
I hope everything goes well. It is already 27 months!!

I send my explanation with document against resonding of PF Letter . after one month deadline complete next day i saw profile update but no email send me for new update. i observe my gckey and found only changes in BACKGROUND check which was earlier in progress but after now not applicable.
What thats mean? visa office stop working on my file and aslo stop BG CHECK. (NO MR yet)
Anyone tell me what happening with my file. is it going to refusal.

my timeline is NOV 6TH 2017 PNP
call agent he said security check in processing. and due day is JUNE 13TH FOR SECURITY CHECK, BUT they have a internal message between VO and IRCC agent, it said this case will more than normal time which 19 months.
