Hi guys, My PNP RP (inland) was received the 28/04 and I received my AOR on 19/07 (and directly linked it successfully to my CIC online account) but never received the 2nd one saying it has been transferred to another office but they are still reviewing if I meet the criteria. Anybody in the same case?

Inland doesnt receive second AOR since all of the eligibility assessment is done by CIO itself. That takes around 9-10 months from application receipt date at which point they finish your eligibility and criminality. Later they issue you MR and then the application is transferred to CPC Ottawa for background check and finalization upon which you receive PPR.

hi,

when we have to expect to get done Medical tests? this is related to inland applicants. just wonder, when the processing time starts i.e. is it from the time the CIO office received your applications, which is a lock-in-date, or from the time when you receive your AOR? as far as i know for for pnp applicants the whole process to be taken 16 months, which is crazy...

Hello, As I pointed out in my previous post, you get medicals following eligibility and criminality completion. Your background check changing to NA is indication of that before medicals are issued. The processing time starts from the time they receive your application and not AOR. The process literally takes 16 months at a minimum, but that could very well change in coming year. With backlog from 2015 (with advent of EE stream), it really slowed down processing starting 2016 applicants. Be optimistic. Here are some marks to look for as for the progress for inlands as it unfolds which is indicative of backend processes not visible to you.

CIO- Nova Scotia Sydney facility::::
  • Application submitted (AS) (Application can be linked 3-5 days later to your mycic account)
  • AOR received [1-3 months from AS]
**********Application is moved off shelf and put in processing queue**********
  • ECAS shows in process
  • System generated Reminder email to submitted RPRF, PCCs and updated Sch A form (If you havent submitted RPRF, pay that and can confirm receipt 2-3 weeks later by using RPRF recepit number to login in GCKey) [3-4 months from AOR]
  • Another request to resubmit Sch A (may or may not depending on gaps identified by agent/officer). This time its from actual officer processing your file. His initials can be found at the bottom of letter. [3-5 months from Reminder email]
  • Background check updates to Not Applicable [same day - 3 weeks following submission as long as officer is satisfied with your updated documentation]
************Eligibility and Criminality is done****************

  • Medical request is issued [2-3 months from previous step]
  • You complete medicals
  • You submit medicals via CSE or if you did eMedical then it shows passed/received in ecas [same day - 3 weeks]
**********************Medical is done********************************

CPC - Ottawa facility::::
  • Background check goes into in progress status [same day - 2 weeks from medical passing date]
  • Decision made [2-4 or more depending on your history]
  • PPR [Not sure, but it seems few weeks]
  • You send passports
  • Received stamped visas and COPR [ 2-3 weeks from passport submission]
Phew...

Hope this helps.

thank you for your reply. I already received my aor in august 2017 and has already linked to my online account. i also paid all the fees right away when i sent my documents, which i believe it was a good idea so i can save up some time?

after reading your answer i have a couple questions:

Is it ok to do upfront medicals and submit or it is better to wait for their instructions? I just read some of the threads and comments people doing upfront medicals...

I know there have been mixed feedback. I guess it doesn't hurt or accelerate process so should be fine either ways. I personally didnt do upfront because I applied from US so technically outland and dont have that option.

Hi all just providing an update in my status. As per CIC decision was made and I have received my COPR and passport back from the Embassy. The next time is Landing. Thanks all for your help in understanding this process...it was through this forum I knew what was the next steps in the process. It has been a long journey...almost 2 yrs of when I started looking at the options from nomination to its final stage. All the best to all...and the journey is so worth the efforts.

Congrats your file moved so fast. Anyway once again congrats and just keep posted after reaching canada

for most people it takes 2 years
2 years is the time including nomination. 16 months is the max they take. I hope its not 2 years. Cause its just 9th month since i applied my file. This is bs. If they can do ee in 6 months why we wait 10 months extra on top. They do have the means to process things faster but they dont. Have nt seen my parents in a long time need to to take break from work everything pendinh n depending on when i get the pr card in hand. Its a fedding up process
