Is anybody aware about how much we should wait for medical request? According to the CIC website everything should take 16 months (wow!). Usually after how many months from the AOR we should expect the medical? (no express entry)

My timeline just started:
BC PNP SKilled worker stream paper based inland applicant.

BC ITA: April 2017
Paper based application received by CIC: 11 August 2017
Waiting in desperation:confused::oops::rolleyes: AOR as my work permit will expire 7 of November 2017.

Please advise somebody who was in the same situation with shortage of work permit time.
Question 1: is AOR required to apply for bridge work permit?
2. if AOR come in the middle - end October and I applied - will I be eligible for implied status??
- meaning will I be eligible to work while I am waiting for new work permit?? as now timeline for issuing work permits is 70 days:eek:

thank you

It is all dependent on the Visa office that is processing your application, and whether you are inland or outland. From the trend in these forums, it looks like inland tend to take longer. The 16 month is the benchmark to use as that is the timeframe given by CIC as to how long the processing can take. So it varies.

Hello. Is there anyone here requested by their Visa Office for an Interview? January applicant here, waiting for PPR but suddenly they scheduled us for an Interview in Canadian Embassy. Any idea hows the interview? TIA

You can apply work permit on basis of your PNP. I did the same thing.. you just need PNP nomination letter and a work permit support letter. If you don't have work permit support letter you can request one.. i went to border and got work permit there on the same day...
