Hey guys,

i got a question. my application was received at Sydney NS on March 30th (AINP Inland). If my work permit expired and I haven't got my AOR at that time, can I still stay in Canada as visitor and wait for PPR? Thanks in advance.

You should apply the closed work permit with your work permit support letter from the PNP, if you have one.
And as you know, you can only apply the bridging work permit when you have the AOR.

You can't work without the work permit in Canada, you can stay while you are waiting, but CIC might ask you to prove you are still working with the company who sponsors you to get the PNP some point.

My application received on April 10 and i applied for closed work permit on April 7th. It is so hard to work with employers who help you in the PR process. So frustrated with employer and its a long wait of 16 months.

I know your pain, I'm in the same boat. I don't see any future in my company, but I have to stay put until I got my PR after about 16 months like you.
I received my AOR on April 3, and I got my closed work permit while back in January.

Hi all,

I received my OINP Invitation last year and I submitted paper based application. After waiting for almost 10 months I received AOR from OINP and finally got nomination and was awarded with 600 point. After ITA I submit my file in December, 2016 , but almost after 3 months I got email from CIC stating that my application is rejected because it was incomplete... :(

So I created new profile and ask OINP to re-point 600 points to my new EE profile and they did that. With score 1066 I received ITA on March 6th, 2017 and submitted my file on 11th April, 2017. Since then I haven't heard anything, just waiting. I noticed that people who received direct ITA and submitted their file on same date as mine at least get Medical update but in my case no progress.

Any idea how long I have to wait..?

Similar story . Rejected on my CEC application in Feb so had to reapply with BC PNP on 3rd April got AOR same day and am waiting since then. Apparently PNP is the slowest of all streams to get PPR . I am quite frustrated by the delay in the process and have written to CIC on the extraordinary delays faced by PNP applicants compared to other streams.
