Hey did you get your ppr or still waiting am 07 April 2017 still waiting

CIC recieved my application on March 8, 2017. MR for dependents on Dec 20, 2017 and MED passed after that. Still waiting for PPR.

Background check in progress since feb 27. My main concern now is i renew my passport and send it to CIC on friday last week. I just pray it wount slow down my application.

It won't slowdown your process. My lawyer told that in the renewed passport your surname, first name, date of birth & nationality is same. Except passport no.. CIC considers looks only information no major importance for passport number.

I called CIC today and asked about my ghost update on Aug 9, the representative told me it's because they just started my final background check. Does anyone know what's the difference between background check and security check? Same thing or different stages?

Congrats, funny we have the same time line and I also applied for the BOWP like 10 days ago. I am wondering if we cannot get the fees back though if the process of the BOWP has not started ...
What I will do is to wait to activate my PR (flag pole) then once everything is good I will withdraw my BOWP hoping I can get the fees back

They will return the fees on your credit card. I did it twice.
