If i remember correctly we have similar timeline.
Did you got your medical at the end of March ?
not quite similar: I've applied in April.
I did medicals upfront, which got passed in January. But I guess I have to wait for the rest of people in my batch, i really don't know why it's happening this way. Right now I'm watching people with similar application dates, hopefully once they start receiving their PPRs, I'll get mine as well.

many people are saying it takes approximately 3 months from MR to PPR. So if that's true, you should be receiving your PPR at the end of June. I'm hoping for the same.

however, many of the 2018 applicants have received their MRs already, so not sure if this 3 months time frame is true. I mean why would they extend the processing time to 19 months if they were really processing faster?

Yeah, i agree.
But may be they have extended the processing time because people call them and argue with them that they have exceeded the processing time. May be they have done that so that people can't take any action.
And ofcrse every case is different so we cant say anything.

they have to base their actions on data, basically those timelines reflect how long it takes to process 80% of applications. so they can't just invent a figure, they have to back it up with statistics.

yeah, i agree with you. But no one knows how CIC works. some people receive their PPR in couple of months and some are waiting from years.
One of my friend's mother work in immigration and he told me that their system is always down and it sucks.

Hi Guys,
It's been 2 weeks i have done my medicals but the medical status went back to we dont need a medical.
I just want to ask that what will be the status of medical if secondary applicant received medical request and primary has not.
my medical status is back to "You do not need medical" from "we requested medicals" instead of saying "you passed your medicals".
Are they waiting for my wife's medicals to update the status to pass? how can i verify that my medical is passed?
I called CIC several times but was not able to reach them. So if anyone has encountered such situation or if you know someone gone through such.

Keep calling them. End of the day (3 pm PST) usually works for me and I get connected with an agent in 40-60 minutes.
